I think we need to revive the idea where questions and issues are consolidated into one place again.

This used to be done very effectively by Laguna, where he would collect 'bugs' and give a monthly report to the GM. Then the GM had the information he needed, comprehensively, without bitching and whining, with player misunderstanding filtered out, in one place where he could prioritise and deal with them.

Spread all over the forums now are lots of small issues players are having, which are mounting up to large amounts of player frustration and discontent. Many single threads have two or three issues in one thread. We cant expect any response from the GM if shit is thrown at him like this. Better comms are needed.

So, Andy, would this help you? If a player took on the task of putting problems to you in a coherent manner, would you be able to respond better?

And players, if this would help, would one of you like to do this. You would need to verify the issue, use your knowledge to try to be sure its not a player error, and form the questions in a very concise, precise manner so the GM can deal with them.

What you all think? And anyone fancy doing this?

I have a low tolerance for bullshit, so I know I would not be suited to this position, but I do agree, something like this should be done if possible.

Thank you lorelei, but I'm sure there are far more qualified people than me. Of course, LG would be my choice, but I doubt he wants to do it.

Anyways, I'm serious on this one, please try to keep the thread that way.

Well Crafty,

I think you and perhaps Laguna both can share in the responsibility. I would like to see you perhaps as a forum/chat moderator anyways, because I know Andrew is soooooooooooo super busy and can probably use the help of a responsible volunteer. Perhaps they will consider this. I love Laguna too. Both are great choices.

I would volunteer, but........ I'm having waaaaaaaaaay too much fun in the drama department. :P

Thats not the kind of thing I was talking about evilratchet but thanks for your input. Maybe bug is the wrong word, problem or issue might be better, something someone sees that may need the GMs attention.

Well, there are other programs out there if that one does not fit. I was referring to that category of programs anyways. I think it would be a good solution to the problem of unorganized problem posts, as problems can be posted with a low priority, and bigger things like game exploits could be posted with a higher priority.

He may come to chat today, he told me, later this afternoon my time CST. Maybe you can catch him there! If not, I'll turn him back into a frog so he can be immobile a bit. Poor dear, he has been so busy, no sleep. He might be a bit grumpy, you know, gets it honest after his sim momma. As my adopted son, I am quite worried about him.

This is one of the things I have noticed lately: there are a lot of small bugs and mistakes here. I just don't compile and report them myself, because that's not my job. Instead, I just pick one issue or bug to post on the forum to pass the message.

There needs to be some serious effort to clear the game from these bugs by the experienced players and the administration. It's the little things that turn a great game into a mediocre game.

But don't count with the me. I need to update my game knowledge first. And more to the point, just because I'm actively participating in everything now, it doesn't mean I'll be that active next week or month.

Rachet,
The game already has its own checking procedures.

gee guys, every game has its bugs. this one no different. but there is a thread already for problems. the GM's are makeing an honest effort to improve game from what i see. i've never seen it run smoother actually. hell of alot slower but over all a better game. just my opinion by the way.

Well Ok, then I would ask that posters dont get pissed at me when I point out that there problems should be posted in the problem forum, not any random thread as seems to happen alot currently.

I'm just suggesting this for ease for the GM and the players, to try to sort of gather it all together.

I would like Andy to say if he would prefer and use this system, then I would start trying to get something together.

Please continue to add your 2 pence worth, thank you. Crafty.
