Hello all.

Looking to recommit to Simcountry after a 5 month "break" from playing the game seriously. Hehe some people might guess why... lol.

For reference, I used to own a decently sized empire and CEO on Kebir Blue, my favourite world, but that was, is, and always will be a ghost-town. (It would be nice to get back to #1 on KB though... #braggin') But, since my empire is gone and I can't collect GC rewards from getting to Game Levels 2 thru 8, I guess I'll start over somewhere else.
Am looking at Little Upsilon and White Giant primarily as a lair, so which is best? LU has a faster spin-rate, but it seems very busy. WG is slower, but less crowded and probably more econ-orientated, which I love.
Which planet is better in general?

(planning to open up a CEO on whichever planet in several real months if things go well, so watch this space)

Also, why can't I buy 9 months Premium Membership? I renewed yesterday and could only buy three.

Cheers,
T

p.s. loving some of the changes to the game atm. Player base seems to be healthy and expanding (coz I wasn't here. lol).

p.s.s. reading the LU war threads was generally entertaining. Thanks for giving me something to do lol. Keep it up. These sorts of events give purpose to the game and retain players.

p.s.s.s. lets wipe the slate clean this time. I am willing to work constructively with anyone and everyone.

Cheers,
T

Also, through general browsing of Top 300 lists, I've observed that many of the top players are getting to higher levels using Peaceful Mode. Is this the new default? I always assumed it was easier to get to higher levels when War Requirements were included...

Hey Lorelei! Didn't know you had a world. Is it fashionable?

Scarlet, I know. I miss the place, but I need the GC from game levels. Shame too... I was looking over the Top 300 President/CEO lists, and there are far too few CEOs on KB. Any econ-keen peeps here should seriously consider opening up shop. Maybe I'll do it when I've got the goods organised on LU.

LU is the best world for politics and player interaction. CEOS KB, endless war FB, and play by yourself on WG.

So to be absolutely accurate - what Hezzy said was (and which whether he knew it or not is true from my experience) is Little Upsilon and White Giant are the two best worlds to play on. White Giant is fine if you want to do just econ, and LU is better if you want to interact more with players.

I agree.

I like the interaction bit on LU. I like econ heaps though. I'm leaning towards LU, but not liking the asset security.

Hello Tom. You can return to the folds of the Protectorate if you do decide to do KB.

I cant see why you wouldnt get the rewards for levelling up on KB if you have started a new account. Surely everything would start from scratch. LU is currently the most active, but these things change as you know. GR could suddenly fire up any day and with the semi peace possibility from NLUO on LU it might quieten down on LU a bit in the near future.

Crafty, I'm still using my old account. It still had a few GCs left in the bank so I decided to keep it. No honour in starting again simply for the beginner's bonus IMO.

I've settled on LU for the moment, but I plan to re-open on KB in the not-to-distant future, depending on how many GCs I can win from levelling up.

Okay... Crafty I promise to come back to KB in the near future. :) I miss the simple days of my SimCountry life in the Protectorate, with you and Parisfal.

Nowerdays all I seem to do is haunt the forums.

You probably are on the best world for actually doing something in game Tom. As you know, nothing ever happens on KB. Dont rush to get there.

Well, KB was fun in its own way. Back then all I tried to do was get to #1 on the rankings (got it eventually). It was so empty I could leave my empire virtually unprotected at WL4 and nothing could possibly go wrong.

Good times.
