This seems to pop up now and then. Does it say there is no economic sense in closing this corp.

All I can suggest is lower its salaries to 30, and build an alternative corp, even if you dont have enough workers they will come from the 30 salary corp. After a short while you should be able to close the offending corp.

Hope it works for you.

The reason you cannot close some corporations is to prevent fraud.

Unfortunally, we had instances were accounts were created for the sole reason of closing corporations to disturb the market.

In a perfect world, we could remove some more limitations that are aimed at misuse.

I will check how this limitation works with full members.

Actually I did manage to close it down eventually. It seems the problem was that it was too high value (it bled money all the same, though) and the salary level was 320.

Yes, you can close lower value corporations.
the limitation is about higher value corporations.

The corp that I want to close produces items that is constantly at least 10,000,000 in surplus .I get that my price for the item is to high I drop the price and I still get the same message. The number of corperations is dropping so other players are selling their corps so I should be able to sell mine..... right !!Maybe you should insert a cooldown on selling corps.so a serious player can have the freedom to set up corps according to supply and demand .

maclean... Andy knows what he's talking about... That ".01%" you say are the rulebreakers... can crash the global economy if they close enough corps in enough C3s. Maybe not crash but cause serious shortages.

Senseless closing of sucessful corporations with very high market value is prevented for as long as the game exists.

Changing it would not be helpful.
I think many here do not like so many changes.

Yes, it is reasonable, when I close it down to build something more profitable in its stead.

What is nonsensical is to obligate the player to resort to mismanagement to close the corporation.

These corporations are high value and not making losses or at least do not have a history of losses.

We will install a feature that will allow conversion of a corporation into another type.
That will make the misuse option slightly less likely and could be prevented in new countries if the original corporation has high value and produces a product which is in short supply.

Instead of closing, you could make it into a different corporation without destroying 250.000 jobs.

Maybe, we will see more market corrections by players, that will make the cieling and floor price obsolete. we will wait and see.

We had large scale destruction of corporations in isolated incidents many times in the past and the feature is essential. I will however check the market value that drives the feature because market values increased and the value might be too low.

is it possible to go to war with C3s and destriy large ammounts of corps if a single product and make profits by selling stocked up commodities or is that not plausible?..... i checked out some low volume corps like coco and many of the corps were in player countries so that wouldnt work since PvP is dead any thoughts?

I wouldn't think that was realistic Jark, there are far too many C3s with any particular corp type unless you look for some really obscure product. Then you have the expense of destroying the corp, and your advantage will be short lived as either players or C3s will soon fill the void.
