I would like to propose a feature for nobody to ever lose their last country through war on any given world. The war should just end, not completely taken over by another player, as this is the reason why many of us have them in secured mode and cannot be attacked as we all know we would lose control of that country. It could also be possible to drop the war levels if this was implemented as everyone would be guaranteened to keep control of their last country. It could be just like the good old days again when there was a lot more players here on this game and where lots of warring and interaction took place.

.................................................

I would first like to thank the 7 players who have voted in favour of my simple little idea. I know it does'nt mean the GMs are going to implement such an idea.

But I think this idea could bring back many of the players who used to play this game as this game has been very quiet on the forums for the past couple of weeks. This idea would certainly bring back a lot of interaction between the players again.

The war level restrictions as a whole are frustrating me as I can't attack anyone I want. Not even the beginners who have built up a decent defence for themselves and it's not like I even want their country. All I want to do is just to attack them and reduce their defence if they ever posed a threat to me. I mean if they want some protection while they are building up their defence, I suggest they join a strong federation and if not, too bad.

So lets get this forum more active again and talk about the things that really matter and unite against our true enemy that is so damaging to this game. THE WAR LEVELS

I'm not sure how this wouldn't be abused.

"Hi, I'm just going to nuke you until the war ends..."

Scarlet, thats exactly whats going to happen if you're a weak player and not being a member of a strong fed. Besides there would be a rule of where after a war ends, that players country would be undeclarable for 2 weeks for example, which would give them a chance to recover their war torn country before being declarable again.

Fearing each others power is exactly how it works in the real world, you only have to look to the US and Russia.

I am trying to make sure I am clear.

We should allow people, who would otherwise be in secure mode, to wage war and not risk their country?

However, they can declare someone's empire and put those countries at risk?

Among the justifications are to look at the real world and powers such as the U.S and Russia?

However, we will put aside the real world, and act to put a supernatural protection on player countries beyond the whole reason for secure mode?

I am not against changes. I have made suggestions to make incentives for not being in protection and to raise war levels but I guess I don't understand the goal and reasoning for these changes.

Thanks Li, I hope the GMs will at least take notice here. Space, I also hope this idea of mine will get through one day. However in terms of your 4 questions Aries, these are my answers.

Yes I do believe your main leader countries who would indeed be in secured mode should be able to wage war and not risk losing control of their country. Although the only risk they'll be taking is being attacked by the enemy throughout the war, and if the war index is reduced to 0, the war would just end.

Well no I would'nt say the other slave countries would be put at risk if you declared war on someones empire unless they are all in the same federation.

I am not really using the real world powers to justify my argument here. I'm just saying that because there is a secured mode now, there is really no need to fear each others power on this game and knowing that there is no risk of me or anybody being attacked in any way. For what this game is worth, I don't really see the point of paying out for anymore membership if theres going to be no interaction in terms of gameplay.

If you mean by relying on the stronger players to protect you while you are building up your defence or economy, then yes. But if you are on your own, then good luck to you in this big bad world. Also I would expect lots of little petty disputes/border wars everywhere, besides the big huge wars like we see now, such as the fed wars between NLUO and HYDRA for example.

I get the impression that you may be against my idea on this page and are happy enough with these war levels, fair enough. However I have also made suggestions of my own for much less war protection as well such as my 'Overall defence index levels' or the 'Independent/Puppet state status' ideas. But i've realised with these 2 ideas though is that they would be too complicated to implement.

My opinion of the war levels is that it should change it's name to "C3 levels" as a preference to your skills against C3 controlled countries, of which it is, rather against other players. The war levels should never interfere of who you want to wage war against.

My goal is simple, is to get rid of the war levels that is interfering so much in the war system and to never lose control of your last country through war.

My reasons are also simple, the war levels has chased so many players away from this game because of it's effects of restricting you of who you can or cannot wage war against, the war levels should never determine that. And also to hopefully keep more players in the game, you will never lose your last country.

Silly Idea. There is already a secure mode for main countries.

This is turned off at your own risk, and was not a feature of the war world.

To never lose your last country through war would replace secured mode, putting your country at risk to war damage.

Also it's true you can turn it off at your own risk, and like you say it was not a feature on the war world 'Fearless Blue' as I know this myself.

I setup my one and only country there on FB a couple of months ago and reached war level 3 there relatively quickly to only find out to return to this game only a week later to find out my country was already taken away from me by a major player for no reason at all.

If my idea of to never lose your last country through war was implemented, I would have still had that country. Even if my country suffered a lot of war damage and population loss, I would at least still had control of it.

Call this idea silly all you like, but if this is the attitude of most of the major power players, it's not going to encourage anymore new players here. Maybe this idea should apply to Fearless Blue only if the GMs want it to become an extremely active war waging world. I can tell you this that if they did, I would be on that planet in an instant.

I like James' idea.

I would like to argue with Aries questions that you wouldn't be risking anything. You would be risking money used on weapons and ammo, both defensive and offensive. You would be risking your corporations, which would hurt your ability to rebuild and build up another army. You would risk civilian casulties, hurting your work force, therefore also hurting your ability to rebuild. There are a lot of disadvantages to losing a war, even though you get to keep a piece of land.

"I don't really see the point of paying out for anymore membership if there's going to be no interaction in terms of gameplay"

I would compare this to the teachings of Jesus Christ in terms of profoundness

apparently this is a MMO I'm wondering if this is some sort of sick joke

I will no longer tolerate this injustice and abuse of standard English definitions rise up and overthrow the burgeosise my fellow oppressed proletariats

you may control 10 county empires but you will never be anymore then that

you will always bend to the will of the GM and always must we endure asshats whom we cannot declare upon

ive played this game for a year and my only interaction with others is sending disaster relief and the standard 6 private corps from my friends (we often get in heated debates over taxes and welfare)

this isolationism has literally rendered me insane and I have resorted to the dastardly deed of making Multis just so I can send someone a message and expect a return message

will the GM do anything about this sacriligeous admission of guilt to the GM... No... Not even to prove me wrong they won't

what they will make some superficial changes and post them to the forum so we can give them praise and recognition in hopes that they will be encouraged and make meaningful changes.... but they are not dogs... we are dogs... we are their dogs

Teddy Bear and Aries, there is a clear goal/purpose of this suggestion that James the Fair has recommended. It will ensure that even after you reach War Level 3 and after, that you will control your main, as long as you are an active member. This will make less members have concern on whether there country will be taken over. However, I hope that if this feature gets through, that it will implement the following as well; make it possible to attack a main country of a person that is attacking an empire. Why? Because then anyone above War Level 3 could attack an empire and could leave scot-free, meanwhile, the empire has to cope with invading forces, and cannot retaliate against the invader's main.

there should be no safe mode, you can win or loose everything in this game.

if you're afraid of loosing all your assets, then don't put them into any country but just in your account.

having protection, just like a dog that barks but can't bite

there should be no war levels, why spend times babsitting while can use those times to develop better features for the game.

for presidents who want to be protected, then join feds or develop your empire fast to have as much gears as you can take out any potential foes.

also need to kill the gatekeepers on players being able to buy military gears too, players should be able to buy whatever gears they neede so long as they can afford them. why only sell some gears to some players, such as you need to go to space to buy the better gears?

i totally agree with Bella. The interaction has just gone down the toilet. and yes, all I do is tweak my indexes and corp taxes and that's it. yet I am war level 3 with a good sized military and i don't see myself warring anytime soon because of this "problem".

Bella is right along with the rest of the people this game is just about DEAD there is no interaction whatsoever. I also agree with her I am not putting any real money into game anymore cause its just not worth it. let my membership expire and leave for good. Worse MMO I have seen and i have been playing them for years now
