Where is the action?

Hi, I have recently returned to this game, after a long time of not playing it, and started a country in FB-

I bought membership, and may continue to do it, but I am seeing an activity problem. I have only been playing my country for about 2 weeks, and in that 2 weeks I have shot up to rank 36, and my country sucks.

Is FB dead?

Where is all the action? I want to play in a world with other humans, not in solitude. If I wanted to do that, I wouldn't be here.

To be clear, I am curious if there is a different world I need to be playing in..

White Giant is pretty slow on the overall, but I get a lot of messages via my common market. I think there are lots of pockets of highly active players who simply don't post. Perhaps your country doesn't suck as much as you think? Also, perhaps a lot of players simply don't care about the rankings.

Declare war on someone and see how active it gets :P

I have to get out of this negative cash problem first.

Should I use some of my 80 some GC to buy cash? Or is a better long term solution to buy population?

I have basically what offense comes when you start a country, I followed the game tutorial to fight a C3 on my first day back. I beat it, but was unsure what to do with it, so I just built it up...

I have been searching for some good guides on exactly what to do to effectively raid...Its been so long since I've played, I've forgotten almost everything, and even still, back then I didn't play the war game.

I would say that buying cash with gold coins is probably not a good strategy. Population transfers are a good way to kick start things, and build corporations which produce products in high demand.

I have been told by one of the game greats that the way to amass cash is to fight c3s. This is advice from the mighty warlord, Serpent.

As for the action, I think in time you will see more activity on FB. It ebbs and flows from world to world. Of late the two more active planets have been LU and WG.

So, I discovered fighting a C3 as a WL 1 is a whole lot harder. I just tried yesterday with the same attack wings that I took my first C3 with, and lost my entire offensive bombing fleets.

I guess quality may have been an issue, I didn't expect the defenses to be so strong at all. Already being in debt as I thought I was rich so sent a huge portion of my cash out in loans, then spent money I didn't have... Loosing the air attacks means I cant attack any more, and being broke means I cant buy new weapons.

Looks like I will be waiting until nearly 1T in loans come back. That,, and cutting expenses and raising taxes and profit contributions...

In the mean time, I STILL can't find an up to date handy guide on effective C3 raiding. What kind of wings and of what quality should I build first, so I can finish this war?

The reason you find scores looking weird is because of score penalties that are accessed when you win a monthly award. My country is currently ranked 832nd but without my penalty I would have the score to be ranked first.

So do rankings even matter? What are the true top players actually competing for?

Another thing I will add....The forum software is ridiculously outdated. It is hard to navigate and is sore on the eyes. A suggestion to help increase traffic here would be to update the software....

awards are handed out every month, 2 months if you have won an award. I am rank 173 on my world, but I get a ton of gold coins because I end up getting some sort of award that gives me like 60 gold last time i received it. i wouldn't worry on rank to much, money has become so easy to make that i have amassed 400Trill doing nothing but collecting profits from my enterprise(i have 2) and country (i have only 1) my country is alright, makes 40bill profits, 140mill pop. 130 welfare, so i guess if you wanted to run something like that and play war mode, you could do it, my country is totally inefficient as i dont take care of it anymore. im sure you could do 40bill profits with 60 to 70mill pop and a standing army given you are running a 95+ efficiency in terms of moving pop, having high welfare, ext...

yes FB is dead LU and Wg are decently active... LU more so however and many of the rankings are not accurate representations

I don't even know how this score system works anymore :/ I want to be 6th place again!

I jumped up to 17th in FB as of earlier this morning. +5 from last night.

I like the idea of playing in a war world , but I also want lots of competition...

Maybe I'll switch. I'd hate to lose all the progress I've made, that's what is holding me back..
