War index 10, no conquest?

I reduced a country to rubble and set its war index at 10
Why can't I conquer it?

Normally, it needs to go down to 25, and it won't let me.

Plus, it won't go below 10? I wasted huge amounts on this war, was raiding a removed feature?

Did you air drop SFs? Usually that is the issue

Nope. But I did destroy every corp, fort, city, and the capitol. Does that count?

I just really hope I get reimbursed the weapons and get my raiding cash, because this is ridiculous.

Plus, difficulty was doubled on WG for raiding. qua 300 fighters with qua 280 missiles get destroyed when attacking a single county's defenses (which amount to 1 interceptor squad)

That's why. You need to paint the map. I learned the hard way lol. Well it depends, how many C3 wars have you fought at your current WL?

Why did they change it and when?

Not sure why they did and they changed it awhile ago. Maybe a year or so. And I'm confused because I checked the war on WG. You are only in two C3 wars. One ended and the other hasn't been touched. Both have war index of around 50 so not sure where your getting this 10 from.

I got it to -20 war index and won.

Idk if it's a java error or if that was a recent update.

Java screws up sometimes.

Well Star, about the 'why' they changed it to having to paint the map, I find it quite a reasonable step to be able to conquer a Country only if you at least have to set a foot on it ;)

To win the first war, as in the tutorial for new players, you need to reduce the war index under 25.

to win subsequent wars, you need to reduce the war index to 0.

The war index does not go negative.
