1. Game Levels

It is now possible for countries at higher game levels to drop to lower game levels down to game level 1. previously the decline stopped at a higher level which was unfair to players in lower levels as the game level has a major influence on the score of countries and the potential awards they can win.

2. Bankrupted Countries and Wars

Empires that are in heavy debt and have a total empire net cash under -10T, are now prohibited from declaring war on another president. When cash is added, it can take several hours before the change takes effect and war declarations become possible again.

These empires can of course fight wars if such wars are declared against them.

3. Very experienced war players

Empires that have a history with more than 100 wars, should be considered experienced. Some, continue to hide behind a low war level and continue to attack countries at low war levels.
We consider such players experienced and are preparing a change that will force a higher war level, depending on the war experience (very large numbers of wars).

As a first measure, we have limited the possibility of such extremely experienced players to pray on inexperienced players in a low war level.

4. Sneak attacks and War Declarations

Sneak attacks and war declarations should be initiated by a click on the map and a choice of attack, or a sneak attack or a war declaration. The feature is being developed and is currently being tested. It was planned for the current upgrade but it is delayed until next week.

5. Moving Units

A bug was reported by several players and was repaired. In some cases, it prevented moving units to countries further away.

6. More planned Features

The completion of the sneak attacks and more use of the map to initiate wars and attacks will be part of the next update, planned for next week. Also the corporate conversion is planned for the same update.

Other planned updates, short term, include the addition of manual orders into the orders logs, providing details information on recent orders, the completion of the "favorites" and "recents" feature on the country maps (Left pane) and the upgrading of conventional mobile units into auto response units.

Next on the plan is a start of a chain of improvements to the navy that will end up with an upgraded navy function with all features that are available with other types of units.

It's not profitable for me at wl7 as I can't do anything. Why make c3 raiding harder? Why can't I be at wl8, unable to attack a wl4 guy and still fight war level 5 c3s?

Also, why can I fight wl5 players but not wl5 c3s? Heck, wl5 c3s are tougher than most wl5 players.

Pushing my war level up doesn't protect anyone, it just makes c3 raiding harder, and thus, I have to take more time to get less profit.

Somehow I can bomb an innocent wl4 player, but am forced to fight wl7 c3s? That kinda feels like it encourages players to attack other players.

No disrespect and correct me if I'm wrong.

The GM has provided that you gain some money aswell as GC when moving up the war levels.

I personally still vote that C3 NEED more cash

At war level 7you make 7T-ish
At war level 11 you make 10T-ish

The difference is 3T if that, yet the C3 doubles in Quility and strength. The GM needs to consider more inventives to warring high war levels. 9T which makes me barely break even and a 1time GC reward isnt enough. Id like to propose higher poplation. I personally think the C3 should gain pop

War level 11= 9T plus 20M pop nation would be well worth warring time and time again

Great update Andy, but one question. If you do not have an empire, as in a free player, and you war with over 100 C3's, would you be considered an experienced player? It makes more sense if only actual empires be considered experienced in a war game.

Also, I can't do anything at my current war level already, 7 is too high, why can't I fight lower level c3s?

Right on W3C.

I have to tell ya, this game is allot smoother now, than it used to be, and some of these new features, should allow for the low-level politics that must develop and grow, in order for us to get our game back, at the top levels.

At least I hope this is going to work.

Thank you, Andrew. I feel like I've done a lot of moaning, but I truly think something needed to be done and quite frankly I have felt at wit's end over it, frustrated. I applaud you guys/gals in your efforts. I promise to not throw shoes at you ever again!!

2. Bankrupted Countries and Wars
What about hostile Enterprises equally in debt buying up shares everywhere?

define bankrupted to be total assets = $0 SC ???

if so then when total assets = 0, then player cannot do anything, but can only watch :)
wanna do anything, then have some assets to turn to cash SC $...

same as on earth, cash is the life blood of any business.

Stevie, I agree totally! I throw shoes at it every time. If you go up wif the arrow, it will move it, but I'm like you it is too big and too intrusive on the map.

Please mail us any errors you see on the maps, movement of units etc.
we have fixed some problems today and we keep adding more map features (check the game news today).

We will recheck what enterprises can and cannot do when in debt.

bankrupted countries are ones that have max debt and are auto selling their products.

Gaining trillions upon trillions for fighting w3s at low war levels does not make sense.
The numbers declined a bit but should decline more. all weapons and ammo become cheaper, check today's game news.

Hi Andy, there is not an option under Boosters for corporate conversion. Am I missing something?

Jack

It isn't under boosters. Click on a corporation and in the section at the top with all the yellow hyperlinks look for Change Output Product and click on it. It is to the right of rename corporation.

Wait so if the price of weapons and ammo decrease, how are corps going to profit? Most of mine are struggling already. Will there be an increase in production?

Andy

The profitability of the corporations will not decline at all.

If you make 50 missiles each month for 12M each or 60 for 10M each, the financial result is the same.

The price was already reduced and it will be reduced more. We make small changes and make shore we do not flood the markets and keep corporations very profitable.

the profitability of corporations in general is high for all products except for a small number that show an oversupply.

why dont we just do that with all corporations? increse production, increase profits, increase salaries, increase demand, increase price increase production again? it would be awesome

"If you make 50 missiles each month for 12M each or 60 for 10M each, the financial result is the same. "

This is true as long as there is always demand. This can result in affecting profitability however since we are changing the supply situation but not the demand.

ex. If there are now 20 corps making 50 missiles they are making 1000 missiles available to the world market. If these 20 corps now make 1200 missiles, unless there is constant demand for the additional products, you have removed the need for four corps.

I currently have weapons and ammo corps numbering in the hundreds. I often purchase weapons or ammo of the types I make to keep those products in demand. When I reach a level of stock I am happy with, I close my corps.

I will monitor these developments as anyone should. If the market cannot keep up with demand, I will close corps and the level of world production will fall or stay the same.

In my opinion, the answer is making these corps more profitable. I thought that was one goal but weapons and ammo corps are no better than tech and often worse due to the fluctuating demand inherit in their business.
