Navy units will be introduced into Simcountry in the coming week or two.
All navy units will include several types of navy weapons and ammunition and also supply ships.
Navy units will be supplied by Navy supply groups that will also include several navy ships and many supply ships.

Supply ships are available now in Simcountry but their numbers are small and the number of corporations producing them is also very small.
To make sure you are able to create navy units, check the market situation for such vessels and prepare for the new situation.
We expect a carrier group to require between 20 and 40 supply ships depending on it size.

I look forward to the update Andy :)

The new interceptor for navies to provide air support is very much welcomed update
and i look forward to seeing how well subs preform in battle.

One small question i have. Is there any chance of getting the GM to increase production in some navies corps though? You said we will need about 20-40 supply ships. Right now they cost 2.5B each and thats under the market price.

The supply ships as it stands accully COST 2 or 3 TIMES that of the ships that accully preform in combat. Plus the corp itself only makes 2ships a year well the weapons ships corps make 6-8ships.

Is there a possibility of the GM increasing the production to match?

Supply ship corps should sit at alteast half of war ships. Which would mean a corp should need to make 10 ships a year. but even then i still see them being profiable

lowering the cost and raising the rate a corp can make supply ships sounds like a good, probably necessary idea.

I agree, the current numbers don't make sense, and need adjusted. Supply ships should not be more than a war ship.

I agree here, Andy this is certainly great welcomed news. But referring to supers point here... increasing the production will certainly help us out and more so you GM's for introducing the matter and it taking off right? Surely that's a win win? Having said that I understand the production may be set this low in a bid for more and more of these corps to be built.

I agree with super but I would rather 4 - 5 ships for production.. simply at 1st it will be good to invest in because people will need them but over time the demand will decrease.. I wouldn't want to over produce and have my material costs higher as a result of over producing. you have to remember there will be money to be made here and a lot of people I would think will snatch that up until demand decreases.

Either way ill respect how this is handled! Good improvement to the game guys :)

I looked at the tabs and did some numbers.

The GM can even go as far as increase the game levels required for the creation on navy fleets. Most Weapons corps are keep at Game level 2-3. With the introduction of navy fleets as a whole the GM could look at increasing the levels needed for these corps.
Based on the weapon they can increase the game level required. Because this would further decrease the amount of players that produce it they could increase production in corps which players are looking for and this gives the GM a real chance to lower the overall price of war.

Just throwing this idea out there
Land based defensive weapons/ammo = Game level 2
Land based Offensive weapons/ammo = Game level 3

Defensive Air-force weapons/ammo = Game level 3
Offensive Air-force weapons/ammo = Game level 4

Navy based defensive weapons/ammo = game level 3
Navy based Offensive weapons/ammo = game level 4

All Nuclear weapons/ammo = Game level 5

It still allow the most common weapons to be made but the better weapons would be kept to Premium(which would help the GM wallet), increase production and cut costs for players, and overall would give another reason to strive for higher game levels and maintaince of those levels

The update will include a further reduction in the base cost of many types of ammunition and an increase of their production numbers.

Also the production levels and cost of many navy weapons will be updated, with a decline in their cost. This will include supply ships.

The profitability model of all corporations will be improved.
