The first release of the Navy Units will include 3 types of units.

The Aircraft carrier group

The unit includes 2 aircraft carriers, and a total of 250 navy fighters and 250 navy interceptors.

There are 30 additional ships, 12 defensive destroyers, 10 guided missile frigates and 8 missile cruisers. There are also 20 seals units.
The group also includes 200 navy missile batteries and 200 navy anti missile batteries.

The aircraft carrier group can also be created at a smaller size, with numbers of weapons down to 50% of the maximal size.

The Helicopter carrier group

The unit includes 2 helicopter carriers with a total of 300 navy helicopters.

There are 37 additional ships, 15 defensive destroyers, 12 guided missile frigates and 10 missile cruisers. There are also 40 seals units.
The group also includes 250 navy missile batteries and 250 navy anti missile batteries.

The helicopter carrier group can also be created at a smaller size, with numbers of weapons down to 50% of the maximal size.

Each group will include up to 40 supply ships.
Smaller size units will need a smaller number of supply ships.

The Navy supply unit

The unit includes 20 defensive destroyers.
The group also includes 600 navy missile batteries and 60 navy anti missile batteries.

The supply unit can also be created at a smaller size, with numbers of weapons down to 50% of the maximal size.

Depending on its mission, the supply unit will be extended with supply ships to carry the needed weapons, ammunition and supplies to the navy groups.

More types navy units will be added quite quickly.
They will include navy groups without carriers and also navy groups with nuclear submarines.

Attack (non nuclear) submarines will be added to navy groups when they become available. This too will take place quite soon.

I'm very worried if you can clarify for me that be great 10 guided missiles/8 cruise missiles....

Thats REALLY low. I think the GM should look at an increase in ship sizes for sure, aswell as an increase in batteries.

I just want to throw this out there a navy will not last 10 seconds against a single unit 850 weapon of Land to Sea missiles or of Mid range missiles.

I think the GM should do a test of 850 mid range in an attack and see what happens.
Also 18offensive ships will no do anywhere NEAR enough damage to even be able to do anything. Heck 1 def heli will will kill them all or worse.

Navy cruisers and frigates: hit rate: 20% damage: 20%.
That means a player would only need 100 defensive missile batteries to shrink all 20 ships.

i would rather see an increase in quality of navy ships rather then increasing the size just to make it more realistic an easy to manage.... i for one will not be creating navy groups until they are thoroughly proven

i hate this "quality" concept in this game, a surface to air missile should just be that....nothing more. if it is bigger or smaller, then it should have a different name?

Hey Andy, one question that may already be answered, but am too lazy to search for it. But here it is, would a player be able to have MORE than one of those groups, ex. 2 Aircraft Carrier Groups? That would almost shape the sea game with the land and air game, and sort of perfect the balancing act.

Again Super, let them give us our toys and we can try it out. As for some of your points:

First, messes of units are destroyed all the time in less than 10 seconds. What makes navy special?

Second, the land to sea unit you are looking at consists of $429.16B in weapons and $2748.9B in ammo (at 330qua). A unit cost in excess of $3 trillion. These weapons are only effective against navies. Should they hurt them? Yes!

This math was too simple. At equal quality, out of 100 missiles 80% will miss. That leaves 20 missiles that each take out 20% of a ship, or the loss of four ships. Course, then you have to figure the course of round combat and everything.

The simple fact is though, if you are confronting a defense with 100 defense batteries of equal quality to your force then you are confronting a particularly stiff defense. Very few players can afford many such garrisons.

Aries im starting to think you have a crush on me serious, just admit you love me and we can all move on with our lives.

War level 11 have 500Q garrisons, and matching land units to boot. Not to mention 100defensive batteries is very few. A garrison of even 100 with a matching missile def only proves my point of them doing large scale damage...

100 defensive missiles is easily obtainable for garrisons the point is even after 5attacks you ship power would be dramaticly reduced. In C3 where they have dozens of missile def units and all weapons/garrisons are 500Q you great DESTORIED.

Hell in the upper war levels you fight wings and garrions you can only get if you have mobile units. Just the Game poofs 100's of units of 500Q out of no where.

Seriously before you talk like a big boy act like one and move up the war levels

Were back to raiding, huh? Navies are not as efficient as ground or land-based air. Why? Cause, they are more mobile than these forces. The truth is, navies are not for raiding. I don't care what wisdom you think you gleaned from that in-game tip.

Moving up war levels is no challenge. It is simply one requirement of game level. You want a challenge? Lets see who has the highest game level empire by the end of the year.

By the way, on what world is your war level 11 empire? I am still curious if I can catch a raid of yours there.

The new navy units will be able to defend themselves effectively.
Each navy group will be a military unit and you will be able to build as many as you wish.

Quality will of course apply to these units and will influence their fighting and defensive capabilities.

Will naval units benefit from defensive air wings that are in range to assist in their defense? Will this include federated air wings?

Yes.
this remains unchanged.
navy units will be assisted by your own defensive wings and or a partner defense wing if within range of the navy unit.

we have battle ships. their fire either cruise missiles or torpedoes.
We do not have naval artillery.
