The upgrade planned for Nov. 20th will include:

1. New attack submarines and their ammo.
2. A new navy group, that can include 12 submarines.
3. Changes to the requirements for game levels, including lower cash requirements, lower financial index requirements and a lower number of countries required.(All these changes are mainly in the higher game levels).
The requirements for the defensive index keeps increasing. The requirement can be bypassed by achieving the required war level.
4. The weapons documentation and the game levels documentation are much improved and will now, at all time, remain updated automatically.

Good updates. What is the role of the attack destroyer now. Do we just write them off? any progress on letting us consolidate our aircraft carriers given the upgrade to the navy?

I have seen the Attack Submarine Torpedoes, but I have not seen any Attack Submarines listed in the Products in stock; buy and sell...

I think "Attack Submarines" are listed as "Submarines".

I think I am more concerned that it appears attack subs are immune to air defense. Traditionally, the helicopter is an effective weapon against submarines but, currently, no helicopter is effective against attack subs.

Perhaps, navy helicopters, which are clamoring for some type of role, should be changed to a defensive weapon and respond to submarine attacks and nuclear submarine launches that are within their range in addition to traditional defense helicopter duties. This would make helicopter fleets a useful addition for sea control and to provide support for nearby land forces.

it wouldve been a problem if attack subs can attack land targets while being immune to air defences but since they can only attack sea vessels i think its totally fine and not much of a danger since seals and destroyers are a counter too

I don't see navy defensive helicopters as an addition to a battle fleet. The fleet they are in should be based around them. I think the existing navy attack helicopters should simply be converted to those defensive helicopters.

Whether the attack subs can attack land targets does not matter. The issue is that attack subs appear well designed for their role to attack navy targets, which by itself is okay, but the game typically allows defenses to gain an advantage when supported by other units, usually interceptors and defensive helicopters.

Consider Super's concern in another thread about a unit of land to sea missile batteries. They have no other role than to attack sea targets so they are quite good at it. However, the advantage swings to the defense if navy units are within range of defensive helicopters. Without a similar counter to submarines, they are given an immunity not shared by any other offensive weapon in the game.

Aries,

submarines can be attacked by navy weapons, not by any land based weapons.
it is an advantage but subs do have an advantage by being under water.

you need torpedoes to destroy them.

they can also attack only navy targets and response will come from defensive destroyers.

We think that for now the navy is OK.
we will add these subs to other navy groups and add more navy groups.

then, with more experience and testing, we might tune it a bit but testing before the launch was OK, we tuned and balanced. we run many attacks both ways. It looks go as it is now.

but according to documents a equal quality sub unit or maybe 2 units at the maximum thats 150-200B each has a chance of totally destroying a fleet thats worth trillions

is that true Andy? is it practically true?

since as super said 1 sub takes out 1 destroyer but it takes 4-5 destroyers to kill 1 submarine

on 1v1 its even since subs cost approx $4B while destroyers 500M , but problem is that subs would crush the fleet after taking out the destroyers fairly easily and so cost wise its very uneven that 200B sub fleet annihiliates a fleet worth about 4T

It seems that you believe some misinformation put on this forum and we were not on time to remove it.

Obviously it did not happen to you.

Subs are much harder hit by defensive destroyers. Make sure you have them.
we are also not done with the navy and as we have said, there will be more units, more testing and tuning.
