I think you should read about the weapons and how much damage they make to other weapons.
there are details in the weapons document.

Results depend on how you conduct the war. Is the defensive air force destroyed or not etc.

the war against C3 countries is tested all the time and we do not think that anything is wrong.

A new player can take over a C3 country within minutes after registration. It happened today.
No need to purchase any weapons or upgrade them.

You should have many many losses in each war you fight.
we do not have wars without losses.
Quality helps but you keep having heavy losses.

Think twice before you fight. make sure you are ready for it because you will have to purchase new weapons and more ammo.

Don't worry, I have noticed that even with a fully upgraded army (granted i'm lvl 5) I'm incurring far more losses than usual. Something has changed, I'm agreeing with what your saying Rhea...

Winning the first wars remains quite easy, close to trivial.
a new player can win a war directly after registration without any purchasing of weapons and without upgrading anything.

following wars should be more difficult and non trivial.

the cost of weapons is declining and will keep this trend.

Also check messages on the forum on how easy it is to mass trillions from raiding C3s. It remains very profitable.
In some cases however, it might be even more profitable to fight a PvP war. Rewards can be very high.

I kinda thought that was funny, because in my humble opinion there has been ALOT of changing to the war game so that now there are not hardly ANY rewards in fighting a PvP war.

the strategy you use in the war matters a lot on how many losses you take. I do not war a lot but for example using a few mrmb to take the damage of your aa batteries will save you a lot of losses because the mrmb can take more damage and the heli attack those first.

The war profit is all messed up a lot of players are complaining about odd things happening. so far the dev's are denying anything is wrong so it is hard to say what is really going on
