There are two types of cruise missiles in Simcountry. One is land based and the other is sea based, delivered by missile cruisers that are part of navy groups.

Cruise missiles are effective against many land based targets. The details of their function are in the weapons document that provides accurate and extensive information on their function (and that of all other weapons).

Navy groups can use these missile cruisers from a long distance and destroy many land targets, including cities and they are not counter attacked by the defensive air force.

You need missile interceptors and weapons that can attack missile cruisers to deter such attacks and reduce their damage.

Please check the weapons document ro find out more about the weapons that can defend your country against such attacks.

No, nothing is changed but it seems that there is not much knowledge about the use of these missiles and the results of their use.

We do not think that players are aware of this and probably are not sufficiently prepared to prevent large damage.

We also refer to the weapons document which is up to date, detailed and can help a lot in understanding the risks/opportunities of the war game.

Ah ok, was just wondering as I have loads of Cruise in storage.

The Problem with especially new Players dont knowing about the Game-Docs has come to me as well.
I dont know how new Players are pointed toward the Game-Docs, but I just thought about an idea:
What do you think about not just giving the Login-Bonus to new Players but when they Login they get a question to answer about the game with a link to the game-docs and a multiple-choice for answers and if they answer correctly they get the Bonus. Would make it mandatory for new Players to look up the Game-Docs and would lower the frequency of questions constantly arrising that could be answered by the docs

Not reading the documentation is a problem indeed and we get many mails asking about things that are in the manual.

I am not sure we want to force people into it for now, the idea is however good. Making such tests and awarding gold coins is in fact excellent but will take a lot of work to write the multiple choice questions. to do it right, you need many short tests.

We have recently improved many of the manuals, (at least 5 in the last update yesterday).

we are trying to make them shorter if possible, and also improve the hints on the pages, making them shorter too.

We will add info about the manuals in the info screens you see as a new player.

I wish you had the documentation in pdf or something (like kindle format even) so I could easily print them out and study them off screen. I don't like doing that on my monitor while playing. I have printed bits and pieces so I can readily refer to them while I'm trying to do something. There is a lot to absorb. As you say, the documentation is extensive.

Andy, maybe if there would be a link to the parts of the Docs which refer to the Page one is on at the Moment would improve finding what one needs to find in the Docs. Like if you are on the Offensive-Weapons-Page there will be a link on the top of the page to the Details of Offensive-Weapons and if one is at the Health-Page there would be a link to the Health-Details on the Docs and so on...
Even I as a long-time Player sometimes need quite some time to find some things in the Docs I'm looking for, guess thats one of the big downers for new Players if they search something in the Docs.

If i may, i get alot of questions about weapons from new players. You and I have both had this discussion in the chat room. Maybe a simple fix would be on the weapons pages or the army inspection pages a link that says "Weapons and Ammo Descriptions and documentations"

Something like that i think would greatly help in keeping everyone on the same page. Also players want to know when the docs where last updated. If possible maybe a ticker at the top saying last edited __________ show the old doc with the new updated on so if there is a problem or there is an issue, we as a player base can help the GM so that everyone is less stressed and there's more of a solid communication between everyone

Good idea.
We will add a link on the weapons pages, linking to the weapons and ammo document.

We will also look into putting documents in PDF format on the site.

Most documents have been upgraded in the past weeks.

Please mail us if you see problems in manuals, or comment on them here.
