Calling any Old Timers?

After many years away, the allure of the game has brought me back.

It would seem that many have left the game. Any of my old friends/foes still kicking around?

Hi Tendo welcome back there has been many changes to the game. Biggest change is we can't buy Gold with game money anymore. But they have added many other ways of making Gold. FB is the best place to be right now for Gold due to gold per war level and the odd product that can only be made on FB which can be sold in space. If you come to FB and need CEO investment give me a shout. COE's on FB are 'DEZIRELESS' and 'THE FORCES OF NATURE'

FB was actually my very first world back in 2000. I'm currently back on GR. Perhaps I will venture on to FB at some stage, but at the moment the war engine has changed a little too much for me to join the war world.

2000 I can't imagine what the game was like back then. You saw its potential though hey. Biggest change to war engine I've noticed (I've also been away from game playing for about 3 years), apart from decrease in numbers, is that attack drones and P bombers don't act like a shied for fighters anymore

To be honest I do not understand the war engine at the moment, though I have only been back 3 days, so i think that ok ;)

I'm sure I will figure it out fairly quickly. I am pretty good with spreadsheets and analysis so I'm excited to figure it all out.

Preparing to declare my first war against a C3 (not a neighbour)! Any last minute tips would be appreciated, save me a few SC$ in the re-learning process

I was here for two years, then I quit.

And our friendly neighbourhood sociopath Wendy hated me when I returned for 2 months because I sang praises for the failed SimNations in chat once.

So I left again out of shame

Am thinking of playing again once I can save up enough money. It would be fun to rediscover what made me fall in love with this game.

How did the NLUO turn out? I was here during the height of the confrontation between it and some other org (can't remember now). What happened in the end? Died with a bang or with a whimper?

the NLUO fizzled, they where out maneuvered, but true to Wendy style, she refused to admit defeat, and her bad sportsmanship dramatically soured the NLUO for the rest of them.

Homerdome kicking around, but not playing. I Became leader of GREF on GR for a bit, but too many inactive players to make it a go. Was a fun game back then i got to give you that.

I'm still here; so many older players have left the game that it appears I am one of the elder vets. Yeah, the game has changed drastically from what it was several years ago. Welcome back!
