Observation

I just got a message to renew my membership which ends on March 1. They say they need the money to keep game active and pay the bills i guess Stating declining players is the reason. My observation is the reason new players dont stay here its because they make it hard to advance with to many requirements and when they go to build new companies you have "game levels" you cant build anything unless your at that level which turns new players off and they leave. Also this is fast approching a pay to play game when they are hundreds of free games out there. I got this information from a person i talk to on another game said that he tried SimCountry but left when his level reached where you have pay for a membership to play anymore. Just a thought....

I like this game, but I do agree this needs a little more freedom for the free players and even for the premiums in some cases... This for the free to at least hook them in for a long time and into buying premium membership...

well, before the current free membership, we had trial memberships, after 2 weeks you pay, or start another new membership. when they introduced free memberships, well, it has had quite the effect on the game, some good, some bad.

the thing about sim country, its a long term game. i played games similar to sim country, for over 10 years prior to starting here, had some really good runs. but most games like sim country, start and end in a 3ish month time span. sim country has been running, with out a reset, for over 10 years.

this by itself, creates problems. most players aren't looking for a game that you would spend the first year just learning how to play well enough to defend yourself, let alone spend 2 years building up enough of a power base to do anything. but that is sim country.

if you can get into this sort of thing, it is such an addiction. fighting, and allying with people that you've known of for
