new player here. The game closed a national corp that had 150B in cash. The cash was transferred to my country.

so I closed another corp that this time was controlled by my enterprise (though ownership was 40% enterprise, 40% investment fund, 15% country, 5% 3rd party) I don't seem to have received the 140B cash the corporation was holding. is this correct? or have I just not been able to find the entry on the balance sheet?

When you close a corporation that has shares owned by other countries and enterprises, the money is distributed amongst the shareholders. This means you would only receive a percentage of the money (depends on how many shares you own).

thanks for taking the time to reply. that's what I assumed. but I did not see an increase in the value of the investment funds cash on hand, nor the country or enterprise.

I thought I had been clever, buying a corp off a C3 with sub 100m share cost, no debts and 140B cash on hand. I then split the shares with my enterprise and investment fund to boost their cash to make further purchases only to not have the cash after closing the corp. perhaps it takes more than 2 months for the balance to update?

though I closed another corp (not specifically for the cash this time) which was 100% state owned and got the 28B from it. so now I'm confused.

my enterprise in fact closed three corps. none with loans.

starting cash 1,448B
cash on hand * % ownership
137B * 75%
136B * 63%
153B * 26%
= 1,448B + 228B

expected ending cash = 1676B

and yet I had 1448B (plus the months profit clearly marked as such on the balance sheet)

its not a huge concern. I bought them for less than 5B total and learned a lot about share trading and splitting ownership between funds/countries/enterprise in the process.

@Antikythera: I tried to have a look but at the moment you do not have any Enterprise Corporation so there is nothing to check.

I did notice a State Corporation being closed and you did get the 31B it had in cash, as you can see in your Cash YTD log.

If you see a problem, please email the details of the corporation and we will check the cash flow.
Please note that the cash is not immediately transferred but one month later when the corporation is completely closed.
