Market Prices

I must be reading it wrong. The market price on GR for HTS is about 280. I sold HTS on the open market Q250 and received only 160 each. I didn't do immediate sale either. I set the price high to see what I could get. I'd figure I'd at least get market price. The demand was in the red, there was no surplus, I made sure to sell well under the threshold to see what would happen. Thoughts..?

Conventional wisdom would suggest that by stating KGB it was in reference to the Soviet spy agency. Of course you already knew this so I'm just pandering to your silliness.

John may have been ref to the game or GM, as well. lol Your issue sounds strange to me. May want to consult the GM about this one with specifics.

If you are selling at a price that corresponds with your quality and there is a shortage on the market this should never happen.

if you are trying to get much more than market * your quality, everything could happen as the trading procedures are trying to force trades and results depend on what others want to pay.

we intend to improve that and have such overpriced offers ignored until the price is lowered.
if they sit there too long, they are sold at a very low price.

Andy, I'm sure you didn't mean it the way it sounded, but just to get this straight:
When you say

do you mean it will sell at a low Price even if the asked Price by the Seller is higher?

Why would you ignore them for a long period and then sell them at a very low price vs the requested price? That is absurd.
Just kick it back to the seller and tell them to drop it by x amount. Or set a maximum price like you do now and force the user to lower it.
How are you supposed to make a profit by buying low and selling high if you can't get the best price, is not that the point of trade?
Why even have Enterprises at this point?

The game should not interfere with the goods people are selling unless asked to, via the "decrease monthly" option.
Are you intentionally trying to gimp the supply, demand, pricing and trade aspects to this game?

Your about to lose another paying player.

I agree with Rage, if I wanted to set a selling price high enough, I accept the risk that it will not sell at all and then let me choose if the price drops or not. Automatically dropping the price is an unwanted surprise. If we set reasonable limits (to avoid abuse) we should still be able to have a healthy market of supply and demand.

Does anyone know how the market price is calculated?
