Okay, though I did sign-up for the marketing thing (you never know) this is not really about the incentive. The main thing holding this game back is the lack of players. Not only does this affect things like interaction, war and all that, but it also affects the success of our economies. More big countries buying stuff means more of a market.

So, does anyone have any ideas? I'm telling people about it and trying to get some new players. Anyone have any luck lately?

Mobile App, that's the future.

Maybe not a full Country...maybe City-States for mobile play. Maybe make it trading/consuming/corps running only, and no military aspects but perhaps an alliance or loose union with full country would be needed to participate (can't conquer, can't be conquered, but maybe loose money via war-tax/reparations if alliance looses a war). (Maybe payments to defray military costs of alliance members in peace-time?)

Could sell up to full play eventually.

They need to work on the chat system it would make it a lot better and sense if you didn't have to open a whole window they should just have on the country window (like where you get those newspaper updates for your country and world) I think it would maybe get the community more active!!

Good ideas. But i think if the current players, would all settle on one world!
It would really help the overall interaction problem.

I think if you keep in tow, the bonehead, problematic players such as the Alterds and Wendys and the BrokenAmbitions, oh and let me add Hymy, et al.......it would improve the game! And dun you dare say The Wicked Lady.......I's adorable, loving, kind while being totally wicked all at the same time!!!

I think there are lots of people playing the game. I think a lot of people don't involve themselves in the chat or forums due to obvious reasons - players who are abusive in nature and rude and talk down to other players. Who wants to be part of that?!

Love thy Sim Neighbor as Thyself!!!!

I like the Idea of a Universal chat via the game itself, not a noisy one you must open in another window. Of course we should be able to Hide/Show it like we can the country map. Don't want users being annoyed via browser issues, lag and what have you. Could Prefix all Users with their world initials and such. It would certainly get that social thing going and encourage more interaction with other players. Bet money that would add some retention of new players who easily get frustrated with the game's complexity.
However to be honest, we need a flashier GUI and things to be more tangible. If possible, of course. A hands on aspect, if you will.

Personally I am good with things as they are, but I believe we need things to be more eye catching and attention grabbing. Otherwise I don't see the game attracting the User base we would all like to see in here, ever...

I agree with the mobile aspect as well. We are missing a huge potential source of users, not being 100% compatible with mobile gadgets.

I would love to see all the worlds merge onto one planet. That would be awesome!!!

And having just one world, can really help the GM's focus more on revamping the game...adding a universal in game chat function, help orbiter continue his space station coin flow by making the space stations actually be a cool spot to obtain stuff quickly when we need it.

Too many planets with too much unclaimed space. One world + moons for resources an asteroids would make more sense, plus the title says (Sim Country) not Sim Solar empire.

I am going to disagree with consolidating the worlds. I think they are fine and neatly linked through space already. I do think there is plenty of opportunity to bring them closer with features though.

examples:

1. Rankings for empires regardless of world. I want to see most population, finance rankings (omitting beginner bonus), top federations/common markets, and the like.

2. Easier search features for things like, who I can declare war on. Who is within war level range and lacks any type of war protection? Something like this seems essential to encourage "real" wars.

3. How about federations that span worlds? Messaging too. Experienced players are only a handful of gold coins and a short shuttle ride from any world they are not already on. Make communication and community easier and it makes this more likely.

I am sure there are things I am missing. These systems to bring players together and encourage discussion and competition sorely need an update.

Thanks for your interest and efforts to help and increase the number of players.

We do not believe that one world will be better.
we just need to get more players and all worlds will have more players.

we think that
1. We need more marketing and are working on it.
2. We think that having a mobile application, forum, chat and many game functions, will increase the potential of the game.
3. We are looking for the addition of some features that will make it attractive to more people, without trivializing it.
