I have to agree with you, I've had four quakes in four countries and each time I'm also losing factories. It's tedious. It's as tedious as rebellions with no decent way of dealing with them. Almost everything has a cure in simcountry, how about a well armed shoot to kill police force to balance rebellions!

Richard that would be cool, and once you give shoot to kill orders...an emergency message is sent to all nation on the SC, to vote on sanctions against your country.

Would make the SC more active and fun.

and to think that players have asked for other natural disasters than just earth quakes, you know, its a country building game, just like war is a part of the game, so are disasters, and rebellions, how ever, the thing about rebellions, if you keep your welfare high enough, and don't have a millions countries, you'll never have that problem

To be fair David, if you'd rather they weren't shot, I'm happy to imprison the so called freedom fighters who destroy factories. Orbiter, I don't disagree, except, if you have more than five countries you are never at zero chance of a rebellion, just reduced or increased depending on welfare index. In the documentation following the sentence about welfare indexes is this sentence "Rebellions will start in all cases but may be rare and mild." My point is if the welfare indexes are good then perhaps an appropriate antidote might be helpful, as it stands the suggestion is put the country up for sale!

That's nothing I had an econ killing EQ I forgot the exact number but it was between 50-80 corps lost. In one game month. It was a few years back. I will never forget that. Makes me laugh when people complain about 1-5 Corps lost. It could have been way worse just be glad it was only a few.

There has to be challenges to the game. I never lost 50-80, but I lost dozens in a much smaller country.

We have for a long time a system with many types of natural disasters and planned the introduction of more types by reducing the frequency of earth quakes and diversifying to other events.
We have obviously not done so yet.

We are astound by the panic of players when the slightest event happens.

Same with the terrified reaction to a possible increase of the risk of war.

maybe we should create a "Good News" world where profits are secured. Everything rosy, and no risk of anything bad taking place.
Just making profit every month and piling up cash.

Maybe even exchange of game money to Paypal payments. ($1 for every billion?).

Its not a question of panic, its a question of balance. Mind you whatever you've just done to the mobile interface for this game, it doesn't work at all.

There are hardly any disasters.

rebellions can be eliminated. There should be none at all. It is in your hands.

earth quakes, at random, once in a long while is no problem.

We made an error and aloud the mobile app demo under development to become active for a short time.

There is no app yet. what you saw is an old demo of ideas and does not work at all.

we do develop one and when ready for use, we will announce.

The error was fixed quickly and you do not see it any more.

That would be cool...the c3 attacks I mean (not the pink tanks)

A neighboring c3 suddenly invades...hmmm

Andy, I also think it would be fun if we could have limited wars...like PVP wars where loss of the country is never in question... something like "declare air war".

Why not fight to the end?
What happened?
we used to have empire to empires wars that took weeks and many countries were conquered?
never had any such issues.

these are virtual countries in a game.

now we need virtual virtual virtual wars that end with nothing?

Lol

I remember those wars. One time it took us a week to break the air def alone before any conquering could be done. Was Epic.

Ah andy your cracking me up people who play sc are rather prudish.... I do think the end war scenario could be more dynamic then take country or just end war there should be some sort of negotiation where the losing party agrees to pay some money or some other concession If he wants to keep the country and the winner sometimes doesn't want a new country and just wants some cash or other concessions

I agree with Jackwagen. You need to add extortion to SC, i would prefer the losing party pay $ as a option to losing a country.

There are a lot of cash cows in this game...whom i think would be cool with paying a tax instead losing their empire.
It should be attached to the peace treaty.

It was voted before and we said we will look into it.

It seems to me however, that this is all a bit of playing chicken.
don't want to risk my country so add an option to fight an go away. no harm done.

We might add something later but it will have teeth. We do not want wars that end with a loser who is hardly damaged.
