Work is progressing on the first version of a Simcountry app.
it will be for Android, and will be followed quickly by an IOS version.

The first version will include many basic country functions and will allow you to view the situation and make changes.

It will also include the chat and the forum.

we hope to have that first version before the end of the year but it could be delayed a bit.

That sounds good, Andy. Even with most browsers on my android (my only means of internet access), I can easily perform all game functions except moving units. I can airlift and such, but no browser (not even Puffin) opens a usable map window for movement actions.

Will this app allow such a function or have the designers considered it?

Excellent news. Will it be a browser portal or native button type app?

We are using HTML widgets but the look and feel is of a button type app.
This includes the chat.

The forum does use some links and is based on an improved version of the current forum software.

I work 12-hours shifts, 4-5 days a week, at a place that's over an hour drive, one-way, away. ( This is why i stopped playing SC, in the 1st place, little over a year and a half ago. Sense then, i have gone up a few pay-grades and have some free time on my hands. So i decided to come back. :-] )

If i had this app, i wouldn't of felt the need to leave. So i support and appreciate this greatly !

On a side note, Once this app is made ( and working ) I will buy 720 Gold coins and smelt them into a statute of Andy to celebrate !

The pigeons will be pleased, Alocien. If this app allows me to move land and naval units, I'll name one of my countries after him. "Andreas Victoria" has a nice ring to it.

The first release will not try to do any war stuff.
we will be very happy with the basic functions, finance, corporations, etc.
and of course Forum and Chat.

The chat will certainly be nice. Hopefully more people will get involved in it again and pick activity up in the game. I've found it very helpful myself, though it's been more difficult to access lately.

This is awesome, hopefully I will stay active now an app will be available. Always ended up quitting because of the lack of communication.
