Greetings...this is to announce my leaving the game although I am a premium member till 09-17. Why am I leaving? I am leaving because of the tedium of keeping my countries supplied and worrying about the educational levels being correct. There is a much more simpler way of dealing with this. Here are some examples of what I mean. There should be three groups of workers: educational (elementary, HS and the high tech sector, health workers(nurses drs and senior drs) and industry( LLW,MLW,and HLW). The products needed for corps/country could be cut in half if not by two thirds. As example, all metals listed as one, energy as one and various food groups as another. Should the president of a country REALLY have to worry about not having enough "meat products" or "butter" for their people? The need for micro management of resources sucks the fun right out of the game. For those who enjoy the game, I'm not passing judgment on you, but it's not for me. The GM add additional requirements for corps just because they can without regard to the burden imposed , especially on newer players. Selenium? Who had even heard of that prior to this game? The promise of robotics relieving need for LLW and improving efficiency? Has anyone seen that in their country? You can "demote" a senior dr. or HTEX to a LLW, but not a MLW or HLW? What planet's rules are you operating with when the obvious solution can't be implemented? Also the game level requirements for building corps (country cash on hand) is an arbitrary benchmark when net worth and educational level of workers should be the rule. Finally, there is no game community to interact with. I've posted topics which in the paraphrased Yogi Berra would say "they stayed away in droves". Chat channel? Five worlds and not a peep. The GM's must have REAL JOBS other than this part time job they dabble in. Just look at the topic boards and see how long those messages are there. There are posts from 2009! Are any of those topics still relevant? Nope, but its easier to just let them stay. There is no need to respond to this rambling diatribe as I won't be returning to view it. To those who stay, maybe one day the GMs will reform the game to make it fun and exciting, but I won't be here.

What's more appalling than posts like these are the clearly misguided reactions to them. But meh... Frak feedback...

But oh uh, anyone thinking of stepping back from the game until it improves or hell freezes over, have any ideas about what to fill their time with in the meantime?

Any other games I can find some of you on? I'm shopping.
