- Preparing for more War game changes

We have recently and in the last upgrade, continued to introduce war related changes in preparation for a change in the war game to allow easier PvP wars.
We have increased the size of air defense units but also the size of garrisons.
Air defense units now have 200 interceptors and their missiles are more effective than before.
Garrisons are larger and more large garrisons will be used in new countries.
These changes will start to correct the imbalance of power between attack units and defensive ones.

- The cost of the army and army maintenance

The cost of many weapons, and mainly defensive ones is reduced.
We have also reduced the maintenance cost of the army. As ammunition cost is declining and ammunition is used in the monthly maintenance of the army, the cost declines.
We will continue these reductions in the cost of weapons and ammunition.

Other costs in countries are reduced too recently, including government cost, health and education.

The messaging system in Simcountry. Work in progress.

The new messaging system will consolidate all messages on the portal and eliminate confusion about messages in the worlds and messages on the portal. There are currently too many message boxes.

The new messaging system will be available on the Simcountry website and on the Simcountry APP.

The notification system will be linked to messaging and allow you to set conditions for notifications on a mobile device when certain messages are received.

This could be war related, or messages from another player, or any other message indicating an event in the game.

We consider this important for the game in general but also essential in relation to the war game, alerting you to events during war.

All this is optional. Players can turn any type of notification on or off.

Our intention is to add more functions to the Simcountry APP that will allow players to use functions of the war game from their phone or other mobile device.

When do the reduced costs for defensive weapons and government costs take effect? They seem more expensive than ever now..

Countries show a dent in the cost after the upgrade yesterday.
countries that keep buying weapons will of course have higher costs.

the cost declined per weapon.

Is this going to allow ALL messages to be viewed? At this time, the last messages fall off in game.

I did not know messages fall off in game.

this is a new messaging system, one for all worlds and the portal and on mobile devices.

we try to make it fully responsive so that it will fit on all screens.

Notifications will be part of it.

Yeah if you receive a message in game, once you reply the original message is gone. Happens with every reply.

I hope the new message system will not do so.
I was not aware of this.

Please ensure that messages for, probably, the couple most important items are included. Items that were included in notifications in the past and inexplicably broken now for way too long.

-If an entity is about to expire

-If a controlled country is declared war on.

If players actually participated in PvP wars, the war declaration one would be absolutely game-breaking the way the game is designed to work. The fact you added that units from space go into reserves without fixing the war declaration notification first is pretty terrible, for example. How much actual time does a player who finds themselves in a PvP war have, given they would not know until they were to log into each country, or, at least, each world and check the war page to find out that a country of theirs is under attack? Is it intended that players that take a day off are at an immense disadvantage from defending their empire? Is the "official" game position on this "tough crap"?

Been alot of crap they have done lately that hasent been really annoying in whole but broken features, example they made targets able to block unit occupation with garrisons, yet it dosent matter if you whipe out the garrison to undefend to target, you have to destroy all the weapons and whole target to contine occupation, what a cheap money dump that isent fair. A player was unable to continue a C3 war and had to abandon there abitions, all for a broken feature, that if you go look at the fourm post simple as one might, can see that he tried to occupie to country(Also saw it on FB) but was having no luck in doing so and instead wasted ammo destroying targets for index, instead of for clearing a path to occupie. No one else realized it, as neither did i until i saw his country in war. Yet i confronted the situation, and all i was told by andy is targets dont block units garrisons do, but what about garrisons that are still active, but cleared???????????? Big questions, like have the bois battled atleast a level 3 C3???????????? NO? Well then they dont know they have to destroy to whole target that has a garrison then just destroying the defense, yet insure me they work only if the garrisons active. Yet me and another player clearly this was not the case for.

Point being we try to explain what is better off as consumer, but ofcourse i get upset as Andy simply believes all we write is just objectified for ourselves. When really its the broken feature inplemneted and sold that it worked to us, doesent and caused a new player to waste good time and ammo for nothing but a crock the own game did them dirty.

Andy,

Thank you for the changes. I do like seeing how proactive you guys are being so thank you for that.

In addition, I know of two other ways the GM can look at reducing costs in the war Game. The First is the amount of ammo used monthly for training, the second is Fortification costs.

One issue I know that has been brought up is monthly ammo costs. In general they cost a fair amount of money.

For example please checked "Altair" on LU.
I have only 3000 Off Anti Air Missile batteries and they use 150 missiles(4Billion) per month in training and 5000 Artillery that use 10,000 rounds a month. I'm a player who spends time upgrading my ammo and weapons in order to be ready for those higher level C3 wars. This means I bleed costly ammo and HIGH quality ammo. I'm not saying remove the usage, it makes sense that troops need to train and all that, but the amount they use could be lowered. For players who need to keep huge amounts of defensive or offensive weapons, These costs long term can be hurtful. My honest recommendation is that GM really look into reducing these numbers which will help lower the monthly revolving costs.

Second is the fortification issue. I think two things can be done here. The first is that the amount of troops per fortification is very high to be honest. Reductions in these numbers would help to decrease costs. Also, the amount of Military Base maintenance units used month is VERY VERY high. Check "Venision, Poletaris, Oceanica" on LU all of them send 8-9 Billion a month on their military which is NOTHING, but bases and fortifications. If you check the spending logs I spend over 7 billion a month on base maintenance alone.

Just some factors for the GM to consider.

Military costs did seem to take a significant jump recently; I couldn't really pinpoint where or how exactly expect by looking at the cash logs. Countries that used to run surpluses all of a sudden ran HUGE deficits without any major change on my part. Coincidentally; the deficits did start with the various game changes. Something just seems very off.... Again, I can't pinpoint it exactly, even after reading all of the data, logs and trends in all of my counties and enterprises..

I believe SuperSoldierRCP's both points are dead on. I have always thought forts had too many soldiers, especially when compared to other army units. I guess the amount of personnel it takes to staff a "fort" is completely arbitrary. Everyone's definition of a fort may be different, whereas you can only "fit" so many soldiers on a precision bomber... anyway.

I am 100% completely in line with Supersoldiers thinking. Some ammo use can get expensive, especially when using higher quality ammo. I have seen other players post where the use of higher quality ammo is lower, however new and semi-new players and really all the players that are more casual, and do not wish to include figuring out which way is best in their playing style. I know personally I rather not have to think about ammo costs(especially factoring in different quality types) when maintaining my military. At least not to the degree it has become. It would probably do good to look at how ammo costs are factored and maybe simplfying the way such costs are figured in. Also look into the number of soldiers it takes to staff a fort. Lowering the numbers can lower the costs while raising additional benefits.
