W3C - The war game

We are continuing work on changes to the war game.

It takes longer than expected but the main reason recently was that we want to have much better notification to notify players on war related events. (Other events too).

This required work on the mobile Simcountry apps, allowing for these notifications and we have also upgraded the messaging in the game creating a central point for all messages and improving the user interface and functionality of the messages in general.

We are currently upgrading the Simcountry app to allow for more war functionality.

The first stage of these changes will allow you to launch attacks in an existing war, from your mobile device/phone.

I dont think these changes will continue at a rate if there are plenty of other worms that need placement, i do not believe the war game will get its dues it needs, and to mention neglect for ideas like battlegrounds is just saddening there is no possibility of that happening especially when all the bolts on the ship are turning.

Can I make a suggestion to the GM regarding reactivation of weapons? Right now when you move weapons from a space center or buy them in a direct purchase it auto reactivates 10% per month. When smaller players or even myself(I just bought 100 military transportation planes) it takes 10 months to reactivate them.

Is it possible for the GM to change the settings to allow 100 units per month or 10% which ever is greater? That way we arent waiting months for 100 planes to reactivate or waiting months for 300 jeeps to become available for a supply unit.

We really need to be able to play the game with full functionality on our mobile phones. It is 2018 after all.

Maybe make war more text driven or at least an option to get rid of the map. Sort of click unit you wish to use, click target to occupy or attack.

I have the Android app on my phone but it hasn't been updated in ages. It was promising to begin with but if you work to continue development of that, I'm sure the game will benefit from a more active community and an influx of new players.

The Simcountry APP will be upgraded, possible next week or the week after and will include many war functions.

It will be possible to launch attacks from a mobile phone using the APP and conclude the war if it is won or abandoned.

Declaring war is not part of it yet.
Some more development is needed to complete that function and work will continue.

The attacks part, with correct attack reports is being tested right now and it looks OK so far.

War related notifications are important and can be used if the app is downloaded to your mobile device.

It is operational now on all Android devices.

We have submitted the updated app to the apple store 10 days ago and are waiting for their response. It always takes a long time.

Once the updated version is accepted, notifications will also function on apple devices.

I use Android Andy - is that app going to be updated?

If you have updated the app in the last two weeks, you are OK.

That update includes the notifications.
If you have any notifications in the game delivered as messages, it will notify you also on your phone.

The war game update will NOT require a new app update.
once we announce it here, the app will be updated automatically.
no new download required.
