Settings for the education priorities seem to have a max limit of 99 so it would be odd if you are able to set it higher than that. It is important to note that education priorities seem to work in comparison to the other priority numbers around them. This means that if you have one profession set as 50 and the rest set as 10 it would be the same as one being set to 5 and the rest being set to 1 so even if you can set one to 130 it shouldn't exactly be the end of the world but is interesting. Now if you are referring to the education index (which I suspect you may be) then yes it is entirely possible and encouraged to have your education INDEX in the higher ranges like 130.

i have always though education prioritys are set around 120. They seem to work for me at 120. Reading "total prioritys" on " set education priority's" page on the education index page reads:

Quote:

"The total of all education priorities should be at a level of about 120. Higher numbers do not make sense and will not improve the education levels. Doubling all education priorities to a total of 240 will achieve nothing. In case the education system produces too high numbers of professionals, setting the total between 60 and 120 will reduce the numbers of graduates." - simcountry total priority description.

So thats answered though if you are trying to get at the education index at 130 then yes ofcourse the higher the education the better off the country as if too low of education you will have a recurring problem of lack of teachers which will lower the education index, combined with high tech workers then whatever else, such as high level managers and execuatives will ensue. Low education has a spiraling effect of destruction. higher educations totally prevent it from occurring as the numbers of teachers can maintain the index and possible increase the education index, along with workers being maintained due to retiring/dying workers, also possible increasing.

Well thank you for your replys guys but I think the GM needs to pump the numbers up for more workers thats just my suggestion, Educations System plays a very important part of the Country.

Education is essential.
we see the use of pages in Simcountry and many login and go directly to the education priorities page.

Make sure to balance the priorities there with a total of 120.

By now, we think that the education index should be 200 to achieve high pace and more flexibility.
If you get too many professionals, you can always, temporarily, reduce the total priorities to 90 or 100.

I do not see why the GM should increase numbers.

whatever we choose, any settings, can be seen as too low or too high.

The settings as set now, require certain number of education facilities, teachers etc. and represent a level of cost to the country.

We think that as it is now, a country with good education pays a reasonable percentage of the total cost for education.
We do not want to increase the cost but also not to reduce it. Countries should pay for education.
