Why play anymore if i cant stop the increasing death rate throughout my empire? my main "Westeros" has fallen from 306m to 266m population in less than a month. This is a consistent trend through out all my countries with all losing the same % of population. even after all this population loss the health index has sky rocketed so if low health index was the problem it shouldn't be anymore. Even after the 40 million population loss some would think that maybe you'd lower your avg age by now and hopefully start seeing a reversal of what is happening but negative not that i can see in the near future.

The life expectancy in my smallest country just started down.
Pop 25M, health 135, life exp 106.

If you look at the pop age groups, children are increasing.
Maybe in the coming week larger countries will start to see a change.

It's unfortunate the GM took so long to address the pop issue.
I think it could have been handled a lot better than it was.

The average age in large countries is around 40. The birth rate is 0 past 40. Wouldn't it been simpler and more realistic just to allow births for the 40 - 45 age women.

You probably shouldn't have 300 million people in one country. 60-80 is the sweet spot.

Death rate can be reduced by increasing the health index.
This is explained here before but also in the game docs.
The effect is quite quick but depends also on the numbers of older people in the population.
Some countries, for various reasons have smaller or larger percentages of older people.
if so, death rates will remain higher until these groups will decrease in size.

Population growth

We have promised to increase population growth.
We also said it will be done in several steps.

The first one took place two weeks ago.
It was a significant increase but we said before that we must do it in several stages as the result of such changes is difficult to predict.

The next stage will take place with an upgrade that will take place tomorrow. (August 29).

It will increase birth rates in all countries but as before, birth rates depend on the size of the population.
It declines in countries with a very large population.

The change will kick in gradually and will have a full effect within several days.

We will wait to see the results and may make a third change.
