Beginner receive support during the initial playing period.

The support is given when they login, up to twice each day.

Beginners awards are given up to 60 times.

there are 30 population boosts, each for 200.000 people for a total of 6.000.000

Cash awards are 300 Billions in game cash, to a total of 9 trillions.

Hi Andy,

this will be great for new guys!

if I understand correctly after support is gone new players need to live on their own as they should be able to build economy that will move them forward during this 60 days time.

I tried to calculate what it actually means:

I estimate that players need to build economy which gives 50-60B income to feel at least the same way. What I can actually see in new guys finances is that they struggle a lot after support period to achieve this level of income.

I took two new highest rank players in FB to demonstrate how much they are making:

as you can see their income is about 20B without bonus and the cost is already too high. I read this as their costs especially defense is way too high and income is way too low.

To at least make them feel right we need to:
  • Reduce defense cost by 50-70%
  • Increase proffit by 100-200%

You can argue that they can do better but I took 2 best new players in FB and you can imagine that there are many that are already far below even this achievement.

This also shows how much big is the cost of defense, and you can image these new guys don't have much in their armies. Soon after begginer boosting is gone they will not be able to support current weapons, not even talking about buying more of them.

from what i remember, when i played last time some 10 real years ago, you went to FB after you made an economical backbone on a peacefull world

FB was not designed for countries to be self suficient in the beginning and also FB was not designed for complete newcomers

maybe things have changed idk

In the past the initial protection of few weeks was enough and war was regulated by limiting number of attacks per time. There was no difference in economy abd you always need good economy to wage wars.

I put this message to inform players about the current status of the beginners support.

In addition, there is also anther form of support, adding cash to the beginners country, the "beginners income booster", making these countries profitable. This form of support goes quite long and the amount added decreases a bit each game month.

Vladia, It may seem that the amount is smaller but its purchasing power is much larger as the pricing of many products.
The cost of the army, both weapons and ammunition, has declined at least 50% in the past months and it keeps falling.

In addition, a beginner will be able to purchase countries for 30 gold coins, down from 300, hopefully later this week or next week and it will be possible for free p[layers to fight more wars and conquer more countries.

War levels 4 to 7 will become easier with the next upgrade and building an empire of 4 or 5 countries gets within reach for everyone.

Having multiple countries will add to the possibility to make more money.

The limitation of the populations for free players remains.

Achieving large population numbers is a privilege of premium players.

We also hope to introduce a new feature, this week or next, that will add incentives for empires and war.
This feature will also make it possible to increase your income.

The main differences between FB and the other worlds is in the protection from war.

On FB, there is no secured mode for your main country, or any other country.

Temporary war protection is possible at a higher cost than on the other worlds and it is not a long term option. maybe when you are away for several days.

War can be declared on any country, independent of its war level , with one exception.

Players in game level 1 and 2 remain peaceful.

We are looking at the possibility to increase the war level of all new countries on FB to WL 3 after an initial period of 60 days.

War levels are now much less significant on all worlds as most limitations on wars between them have been removed.

Peaceful player need these low war levels if they want to remain peaceful and we will keep them.

War levels above 3 are not important.
we could remove them.

The only thing war levels keep doing is earning you many gold coins. The total number is several thousands gold coins.

Removing them will remove these awards.

For a long time, "remove war levels" was a mantra many have repeated.
We can do so but you should understand the consequences.

The feature of playing Simcountry as a peaceful player remains.
We always had players who did not want to play the war part. They might be less vocal, but we see no reason to make it impossible for them.
They do no harm to anybody playing the game.
The only thing we need for this, is keeping war levels 1 and 2 protected in all worlds except for FB.

This was the reason in the past for us to introduce many limitations.

we are now less concerned about it. we have ways to discover multi accounts and we remove at random so someone might remain with the one day old account while the main account is gone.

Getting more countries at 30 gold coins is just fine with us.

there will be more countries taken but we think that empire players are more active and more successful in the game.

I would love to see that change for FB. It would make the war world perfect. As much as I love LU, I can see FB becoming my new home after a change like that. One world with classic sim country is good enough for me. I promise to shut up about war levels after that haha.

you can conquer level 3 C3 countries now but you go up the levels.

I promised to look into allowing more wars at that war level.

In the mean time, we have made war levels 4-7 much easier and you can now fight C3 countries in war levels 4 to 7 for strategic reasons, much easier than before.
