what happened to "existing natural res corps will have 8 months of running before they close" ?

did you slashed them by mistake ? some corps will close in 3 days, thats 3 weeks (20 days) after the "feature" was implemented

i guess people were "making" to big profits on world economy flourishing this days haha

I don't know what you are talking about, just checked mine oil and it will only close after 800 game months.

I'm guessing it might have been based on their productivity on the day of the update. So basically, ~8 months, at the rate they were producing that day.

My Corps consistently produce at 130% productivity, and I still have plenty left. I'm guessing that the people that are running out now, were producing below 100% on patch day. Had their production recover since, and are now running low because their resource deposit lifespans were based on smaller production rates.

Either way, it's a good thing. If all the Corps ran out at the same time, it would be global market chaos. With it happening gradually, a few Corps at a time, it will be a much smoother transition.

The natural reserves in countries with players were given the full, new corporation reserves.
These are far from closing.

countries without a president, where given lower quantities in a spread that will run them out of resources during a long period that probably is starting now.

when you plan to take a country, either by war or purchasing one,
check the natural resources in advance.

I can confirm this. My 'old' countries still have plenty of natural resources. The ones I acquired after the update which in some cases has been as recent as last week are already running out.

Andy , in the natural resource page it is written that new resources will get discovered and added in countries from time to time.do we have any timeline for that? It can help in planning.
