President Duble'tar Hosts International Leaders for the "Diamond City Summit"
Commentator: "As the summit begins, there's a long line of dignitaries from across the world. The infamous Draca Mixor leaders, who's past endeavors and collaborations transitioned the old world into the new, arrive first. The entire state has come to celebrate such a prestigious gathering.
Not in so long has there been motorcades as far as the eye can see. Leaders arriving by air, by sea, and by land. Crowds are roaring from the sidelines, taking opportunistic moments to shake the hands of the distinguished.
The scene is magical! It's brilliant! The red carpet, cameras, interviews, and the continual rain of exotic flowers of every sort raining down from above, as requested by the President.
Oh! Arriving are the heads of state, the Dubletarian Governors, who met with the President in private yesterday, preparing for today's summit. They're absolutely beaming with Pride, as they should be! One of the topics the President is expected to speak about is the explosive growth throughout the entire empire, in every section of government, and accelerating industries.
Aha, I can see Governor San Jan, leader of the great state of Alpha Amram! This is a governor who has been in the limelight much recently, with frequent flights by the President to the Eastern provinces. Governor Milford accompanying him. These two governors are quite inseparable, with unconfirmed reports that they've been directly commissioned with building out their influence in the Great Salman region, solidifying and projecting the power of the Doublestar Empire.
We know who this motorcade is... The exalted and well respected Lord Mndz has arrived, with the far eastern leaders of the Northern Star Alliance and the leaders of the DSA from across the world. Look how the people swoon! We are in the presence of royalty people! I could pass out! I can't even hear myself... I hope you can hear me, the crowd is not letting up at all! So exciting!
President Doublestar has exited the Center to greet the alliance personally; smiles all around! Among these legends is the latest friend of the empire, President Red. Crisis, which as fire has the tendency to bind alloys together, has bound his nation and ours in friendship. It isn't expected that the President will speak of such recent controversies, but as the leaders pose for pictures, it is unavoidably on the minds of the citizenry. Expectations are high for this new leader, with talk of a new modern powerhouse in the making.
On the President's agenda today, is the economic collaboration efforts that are adding Trillions to the nation's wealth, regional strategic command, and the rising tide of world politics!
Of the highest urgency and pride is the establishment of the national space agency, including the first signs of empire on another planet. As the nation celebrated the birth of the one-billionth citizen recently, we're altogether celebrating the birth of the new realm!" |

Director of Communications breaks away from Presidential entourage, as they head into the motorcade, on the way to the airport, to speak briefly and answer questions of the press.
Director: Hi everyone, we're going to keep this session short, but are willing to answer some questions. Let's see... mmm ... RNN.
RNN: Thank you sir. The President covered the economic boom taking place in the empire, but don't you think he's using the phrase too loosely? Is this boom extending to the full territory or is this limited to the capital?
Director: The President is well aware of the volatility throughout the empire due to the recent growth levels. I'm sure you're speaking from the experiences in Rubyan. Rest assured, Rubyan is second only to the capital and historically cherished among all other states. We're directly involved and anticipate things going smoother in the future.
Director: Peoples Dialogue, go ahead.
PD: Is the President dragging the country into war sir?
Director: *Laughs* Wow, direct as always.
PD: It's no laughing matter sir. Controversy was stirred and it was no different at the summit.
Director: There was controversy, but the matter is settled. Our partners across the pond are reasonable and are friends. The issue was not a matter of hostility, but rather answering the call for help, something many empires have done and still do on a continual basis. We anticipate no issues and have taken the reserved route. There's also open channels of communication to prevent further ripples going forward. The President is dedicated to the peace and prosperity of not only the empire, but the world.
Director: 90 Minutes, your turn.
90 Minutes: What are the results of the summit sir? Was it successful?
Director: I believe the summit was exceptional. However, the true success of a summit is the increased engagement of our friends and partners to continue collaborations and meet joint objectives. In that view, I believe that's exactly what's happened, commitments to greater collaboration, clear paths for our respective empires, increased economic engagement, strategic partnerships based on data that allow us to keep and improve national and international stability.
90 Minutes: That's great to hear. However, historically, as a nation we have engaged in the east. Is the President open to breaking from the past and discovering new opportunities ?
Director: Great question! The President is absolutely committed to our staying consistent with our ideals and respecting the history of our fathers. There are new opportunities every day and we're exploring what fortunes await.

PD: Sir! Sir! What of this empire in the West? Didn't they attend the summit?
Director: I have to go, but I can answer that. The President had a great time speaking to the Ambassador of the New Trojan Empire and was delighted by the message sent by his Majesty's entourage. The President was quite humbled by the communication of such a peoples with a great reputation and extends the hand of cooperation. A special envoy has already proceeded West, headed by the President himself, with a full court assembly, for formal introductions and partnership. We will update you as we have more information. I have a plane to catch.

It had been ten days days since all of his hard work had come to fruition. How much time had his team put into it? For months they had observed everybody from the presidents, monarchs, ministers, all of their aides and everybody else who was even remotely involved with the great convention.
He had made sure that he had files on everyone. Big thick paper dossiers. Stephan liked paper, paper was safe. Stephan was a simple man when it came to things like this. Even his phone was a good old fashion Nokia. It was one of those that could be used as a brick in case you needed to 'neutralize' somebody.
His phone started ringing. When you think about the devil...
J: Tell me Stephan, how did the convention go?
S: It came, it went, the job is done.
J: Did we get the intell?
S: Have I ever failed you sir?
J: Stephan...
S: Yes sir, we got the intel. The inforant is doing a good job. Even now he is providing us with information we can use.
J: Excellent. I will report it to the council. The trinity will be pleased with your work. When will you give us the files?
S: They are on their way to you now sir. L will deliver them to you.
J: Excellent, How is informant doing?
S: His mission is going well. He is embedded deep behind enemy lines sir.
J: Good to hear. We will transfer the cash to your account. Let us know when you are ready for more work.
S: Will do sir.
Stephan liked John. He had power, money and enough weapons to break a planet in half and yet he never forgot about the little man. Maybe in the future he would do some more work for him. For now he needed to remind his undercover agent about the importance of his mission.
How could he contact somebody indirectly without alerting his superiors? His mail got scanned, his phones were wired.... hmmmzz
Stephan had heard rumors bout something called: The Dubletarian News Agency - D.N.A. Maybe he could use that. |

Last week, I visited Pearl Shores and was astonished at the towers lining the beaches, as far as the eye can see. I did not do this. The brave and brilliant citizens of this great nation did.
