Simcountry Maintenance Mode

Dear Game masters,

during the few recent days Simcountry Maintenance mode has been enabled very often and we are waiting for the update on what has been changed.

This is Christmas time so all players are waiting for some positive changes and news

I do not think it was several times. We had a problem on WG and it fixed itself! It was at night, and before we jumped to action, automatic procedures cleaned up already.

An upgrade did happen 30 minutes ago.

It was intended to update our data on the cloud, needed because of several recent changes.
It makes it easier for us to do more in the coming days and weeks.

We keep a lot of data on the cloud so that static data, (data that does not change all the time) will not have to come all the way from Amsterdam, but is spread around many servers around the world and reduces load time of game pages.

The problem with the common market pages is fixed. I did not intend to publish until the next upgrade.

More is being developed and will be added ASAP.

More reasons for this screen to appear:

we sometimes optimize database performance.
we restructure, re-index and clean database tables.

It takes 2 or 3 minutes, one world at a time and we try to do this at times most players sleep.

Good to know. Very often this page only pops up on specific functions and still allows to use the rest.
