Happy New Year to all of simcountry. Here's to a prosperous and bright new year.
What are some of your new years eve traditions?
From a previous post I'm not from Australia, I'm from Ontario, southern Ontario Canada. My family always orders in Chinese food for dinner. Usually family or friends drop by. We then sit around and talk. And later on we watch New Years eve festivities on TV usually the ball drop from New York. Someday I would like to go see that in person as I think New York does the best new years in the world. At the stroke of midnight we all get up and toast with our drinks (usually champagne).

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Michael, what a lovely post! I hope that you and yours brought in a very lovely New Year! Hard to believe that it is 2020! Wasn't it just yesterday everyone was freaking out over Y2K? ha ha ha ha

My husband and I always celebrate the coming of the New Year together. We keep it very low key and celebrate our happiness together and the blessings over the past year and discuss our resolutions for the New Year! The tradition here is to eat black eyed peas for good luck on New Year's Day. I managed to get down one spoonful and my husband swallowed one pea. ha ha ha ha I guess you can tell we are not big fans of black eyed peas!

New Year's Day was spent watching Hallmark channel and chilling! We did catch part of The Rose Bowl Parade. Nothing too exciting, but relaxing, nevertheless!

I hope more simmers will share their traditions with us! :-D
