Natural Resources

A new tab is added to the Natural resources page. It is called: "Top 100".

It shows the top 100 countries that have the most natural resources in the world. It also has a link to directly show the list of available resources and by clicking on the country name, you get to see the country home page.
You can also decide to purchase the country and you could decide to conquer the country.

It is now much easier to find countries with many natural resources.

Preventing large corrections in employment

The max numbers of workers that are involved in any possible corrections or movements between groups, is now much lower than before.
Extreme cases of moving workers between groups should not occur.

Legend

The legend did not work correctly on three of our worlds. It is now corrected.

Country Score

The country scores are being improved. A second update is executed today. The score might slowly change to adapt to the updated computation.

Corporations hiring

Some more types of corporations are hiring more people. This will help to suppress the need for more corporations for the growing population.

Limits on Enterprise Numbers

Several limits needed to be increased and allow higher values. This is now done.

Can you elaborate on the point about enterprise numbers? What limits are increased exactly?

Andy,

'The max numbers of workers that are involved in any possible corrections or movements between groups, is now much lower than before.'

I hope you mean you reduced the automatic mass demotion of educated professionals to low level workers.

Because from what you said, it sounds like you also reduced promotion of low level workers to Medium/High level workers. That would be a big mistake, which would cause structural shortages of High level workers.

I think he increased the number of workers shown. it was limited to 800M even if the real number was higher and now it shows the right number.

I think the movement is now even more extreme. I had just about balanced out most of my employment after all the recent changes. closed corporations by the dozens. I was basically at 98% filled positions. Now I have millions laid off again because of job movement and apparently an increase in corporation hiring at medium and high worker levels.

It's not just one country either.

Every update just brings more angst and frustration. It's not fun made lots worse by only being able to manually move 100k a month to fix things that weren't actually broken.

Sigh.

@Winderian please add pictures using aaa. This will help Andy to see the details. Also provide country name and world.

Andy, I thought we're able to have up to 4 CEOs per world?

I'm trying to purchase a CEO, with two CEOs active already, but the game tells me I cannot have more than 2 CEOs.

Can you fix this please?

There were complaints about the numbers of workers and professionals surging or falling suddenly.
There is a procedure that is trying to simulate what can happen on the real economy, when people move around when there are too many or too few people in a certain profession.

the changes were just too massive and measured in 1 to 4% of all people in the category.
There was a complaint that all unemployed teachers disappeared and schools started closing.

This should not happen.

we do want that if a country has 500.000 unemployed engineers, they will move to other professions.
The number of those moving was too high.

It did not change the function you can use to move professionals to workers.

I will look what happened to the 4 enterprises.

Not sure how you post pictures here. Over two months February-March 4380 I went from near no unemployed LC workers to 1.7 million. MC workers did the same thing in March shooting from low numbers to 611 million unemployed. It wasn't me because I wasn't logged in when it happened. It was system generated.

More than twice the number of LC workers became unemployed than open positions. I can't move them out. They have to move upwards by themselves. It wiped out 15 billion a month in profits of the country due to the strain of paying Social Security for the unemployed and corporations that no longer contribute due to lack of staff.

It will no doubt eventually resolve itself for the most part. This is what happened with the last big set of changes as well. LC just skyrocketed. And I will have to spend hours patching up my empire again having finally just gotten things sort of level. sigh and sigh again.

On top of all this I'm still struggling with population loss of 500k every ~12mths. The country barely makes a profit but I have to close profitable corporations due to lack of workers. It would be really nice to know where the population floor is.

Maybe I should have built a Whine and a Cheese corporation...

Winderian,

Yes, it happened to me too. It's because of the increase in the number of High Level Workers, that Corporations require. That caused a shortage of High Level Workers. Which in turn, caused people in other categories to be laid off, spiking unemployment.

It will fix itself, once enough Low Level Workers promote to High Level Workers. The disruption can be annoying but it should only last about 3 real life days.

As for the population floor/soft cap. Andy has previously said it is going to be about 80M-100M depending on your healthcare index. That's the number I'm planning around. As for when the increases to Corporation worker requirements will be finished, your guess is as good as mine.

I have a country at 104 million pop and almost zero growth. It is still slowly rising, but not much. Health care index is around 130 in that country. My guess is it will settle at 105 million.

Just had this happen to me as well. The worker #s are finally starting to level themselves out.
