Flat Earth?

The Glorious LDI fleet has attempted to circumnavigate Fearless Blue and we ran up against a large wall of ice on the eastern edge of the earth. We have been unable to find a way through the ice to reach the other side of the world. It appears as though Sim Country is a flat earth when it comes to moving units. But when firing missiles, the earth appears to be round. Has anyone ever managed to circumnavigate the world? Is the earth flat? We pray to the Pinktator for guidance.
