This is completely out of whack and ridiculous.

I have a corporation right now with 3.8!! P/E that is losing money each month and is increasing in value (from a very low point). Said corporation was still rapidly losing value even when it had produced a solid profit for over 2 game years (though its P/E was falling, it wasn't fast enough).

There is WAY too much lag between P/E and reality. This cripples corporation value (especially private/public corporations). I've had profitable public corporations go below 10 billion because they had been hammered by the drop in value due to a temporary set of losses. Then my corporation above, which had been profitable for probably 3 game years, now finally gains value when its losing money again, and its STILL at a low value because value goes up as a % instead of absolute. So once a corporation gets hammered in value, its never going back high again. It will over time go down more and more till its worthless.

On a related note, C3 corporation closings are way too slow for corporation types which have a large amount of corporations. Factory Maintenance is a very good example. This is something which should be a % each month. Then for something which has a small amount of corporations (say Cargo Shuttles), the current amount is huge compared to the total amount of corporations. So on White Giant, currently Factory Maintenance not only is rock bottom, but will likely stay there for years until the massive excess of C3 corporations closes.

Which brings me to my last issue. C3 corporations are too aggressive building during shortages and not aggressive closing enough during oversupply.

Edit: I just took a look at cargo shuttle P/E chart. WOW. Why can't every corporation do like they do? Massive change each month. Like insanely massive (999 to 14). Reflecting that some months they produce nothing, and others they produce a huge profit (even when price down, though overall if price is low they still lose A LOT of money).

Since I don't want to make more threads, I'll put this here.

Robotics isn't being added to supply when a corporation is converted. And some corporations get way less than 5 months worth of supplies.

Btw don't take all these posts as criticism or my not liking the game, I think the massive amount of work that's been put into this the last 20 years is amazing, but as I think has been stated elsewhere, there's been so many things added or changed, that there's been unintended consequences that haven't been fixed or addressed.
