Had someone bid on one of my Enterprise corporations and was just wondering how this worked. Is it possible for an Enterprise to just buy out anthers corporations? Is there any way to keep corps safe?

Yes, any ceo can bid on enterprise corps. Only way to keep Ent corps safe is to IPO and hold 100% shares between your ceo and country. It's a pain in the neck setting this up though and hardly worth the effort. I let them bid and cash in.

You can also block ceo's from bidding on your country corps by ticking the check box in settings. Keep the vultures out, I only allow my own ceo corps.

The enterprise game is about building corporations, increasing their value and expanding by both the buildup of new corporations and by purchasing ones both from enterprises and from countries.

Countries can prevent it but will be wrong to do so as they earn a lot of money from enterprise owned corporations.

You should make sure you produce products that are in short supply, (many are), upgrade them and make sure they increase in value.

then, the chance they take them over is smaller because of the high price, and if someone buys them, you receive a large amount of money.

Corporations cannot be purchased in the first 48 months which gives them some time to increase their market value.
This is a very recent extension of the period which I forgot to mention n the game update news.
I will add it now.

I'd say that is generally, but not always true. Otherwise, agreed with everything here.

I strongly dislike "hostile bidding" (where players bid on your corps without asking) as I usually am very intentional about which corps I pick and why. I recommend you send the player who is bidding on your corps a message asking them about it either way. Frankly, it's probably not beneficial for them in many cases to spend so much money on acquiring corporations. Perhaps you can help point them in the right direction.

A hostile bid is an invitation to war. The Nevrondona Empire would assume a person initiating a hostile bid was asking us to declare war on them. We would oblige.

I was hoping you would take the bait. We have just been waiting for an excuse to liberate your shoe collection.
