There are several other threads discussing game changes and what the players would like to see.
If you search this forum you will find discussions from years ago with similar suggestions and requests.
The GM's have made a lot of changes, to me it seems it's always make it bigger or cheaper but it's still the same.

The concept of this game is great and could be truly awesome if a two things were different.
(This would be a massive undertaking so I doubt it would ever be implemented.)

First, I believe the universe is too large.
No offense intended to any active players but KB is dead. Just look at the top 10's and the number of GM CEO's there and you'll see what I mean. A CEO that started within the week is poised for an award. There are less than 20 Coal corps in an extreme shortage while on WG there are over 120 with a surplus.
Let any active players emigrate then call in the Death Star.

Second, all the worlds are governed by the same game rules except for the edits on war on FB.
There should be three different sets of rules: Peaceful, Balanced and Warlike.

World One would be Balanced. War is optional with protection available. You would need a good economy to afford war

World Two would use the same rules as World One except it is a sandbox. New players would go here for up to 30 days. If still active after 10 days they can move to any other world. Premium players could have access several times a year to test strategies or just have some fun.

World Three would be Peaceful. There is no military or wars. The cost of living and doing business would be more expensive.

World Four would be warlike. Cheap guns and ammo, no levels or restrictions. Country indices would be less important.

I would agree that the game would be great with something like this.

While I'm not sure exactly what the split would be - "Warlike" "Optional" and "peaceful" makes a lot of sense to me

The size of the "universe" can become too small if we succeed in getting in many new players.
If we do not, there are other issues that will decide what we do.

The 3 types of worlds, maybe, we now have two and they can gradually change without major rewrites.

We listened too good and created a competition world.
3 players joined.
I was one of them.

The 4 non war planets, can have more war.
Maybe not all, but there could be a harder line between people who fight and those who do not.
we will get to it.

what we need is more players who dare fight a war.
this is what we had in the past and it worked fine.

Now, FB was moved a long way and we are now doing a next step that will make it even more inviting to wage war, also PvP wars.

Big players with a huge power obviously do not agree but as I see it,
we need to give smaller players a fighting chance.

This can be achieved by making it cheaper to build excellent defense and make over sized armies more expensive.

best will be if you move all your weapons and ammo away from your enterprises and into your countries.

An example of a nonsense change that will not happen:
we could have all defensive weapons shoot 5 times as many very cheap missiles and all of them will destroy the target.
You will not win even one war.

This is nonsense, but increasing the power of the defense is no joke and will have an effect.

I will post a query to all the players I've been in contact with and see if I can get some more opinions about the status quo.

Our discord is filled with a good mix of large veteran players and smaller, newer powers. Most of them are on White Giant and are interested in at least some level of conflict.

I for instance would like better access to war on White Giant - before I kicked around the idea of having secured mode limited to the 'Empire Leader', requiring you to defend if you expand
