W3C - Sitemaps

We have extended site maps in Simcountry.
we are wondering if these are being used by anyone.

please let us know.

Sitemaps are only used to find what is missing the "new layout", like welfare index. in general I like them, but the problem is with the new layout, as it is not intuitive and those boxes is just chaos.

if you combine new layout and replace the bottom boxes with what we had in the old layout you will have very nice first page:

the old layout was much more informative and intuitive as I was able to see main indexes(like in sitemap) and if more details are needed deep dive clicking the links. I think it would be much better just to add more indexes on the old layout(green box) instead creating more boxes in the new.

it was so easy to navigate in the old one, I just don't know how people find everything in the new one - it sometimes feel impossible.

Please do not remove the extended site maps. I like them.

I know that this is not a populair opinion but I think the new lay out is better then the old one.
- There are far fewer sub menu's and it is easier to navigate through then the old menu (I can find more with fewer clicks)
- It has more data that I find relevant
- I can just close certain boxes that I don't want to see
- The colors are much pretier :P

CEO has old better layout, you just need to log in to CEO and go explore the world.

I tend to think the sitemaps are useful.
we had some discussion here and put it on the forum for others to share their opinions.

any more opinions on the site maps?

Would it be too much to ask for the option to switch between the new and the legacy version? Seems that it's all there if the CEO screen shows it. Probably not worth the resources if there are higher priorities and it's a lot of work, but I think some (maybe a lot) prefer the old version for the simplicity and better aesthetic. The new UI seems to have a bunch of stuff I don't care about. The old one had everything that matters laid out in a nice screen.

There was a time when you could chose between both.

I personally like the old style a lot, even if I have grown use to the current.

very much agree, the first page should be like a nice overview, with less details. having only main indexes together with rankings was so simple and great idea.

also newspaper part was adding some reality feeling to your country which was great, today probably nobody checks newspapers unfortunately because they are hidden. the new UI is so technical and not friendly..

I have to agree that I miss the news paper in the new lay out. If this could be added in the same way as the other things on the front page I would be very happy.

The new lay out lets me customize my interface a lot better and it gives me a lot more information much easier.

I will look into options for the newspaper.

YES to newspaper please - and it'd be great if all the old updates were there (nukes apparently don't show there anymore?). The newspaper is mostly useful during wars, but it's fun to see what all is happening outside of your own empire in other parts of the world..

welfare index should also not be forgotten, it is main ibdex and should be somewhere on the top.

I agree that the welfare index (litteraly the most important index in the game) should be displayed on the front page.

But I would like the newspaper more! It just ads more fluf :D
