"Please abolish the term "Slave Country for empires."

3 gamers voted for the proposal.
0 gamers voted against the proposal.

The proposal has been ACCEPTED.

W3Creative reaction:

This was voted on before and we have promised to do so. It is already removed from several pages and we will continue to do so."

W3C is so woke...

Go ahead and get rid of Heavy Jeeps, Heavy Tanks, etc. since that is CLEARLY fat shaming.

I do say though, kudos to you guys for keeping this voting thing up. I don't know how much actually gets implemented over time, but you do take the effort to respond to even the dumbest votes (re: "Election Campaigns").

"Mentors for New Players Status: Excellent [ top ]
Detailed Description:

Many games have mentors which assist new players. I propose that Simcountry have an easily accessible list of mentors (say a button on the page for players under 60 days playing time), so newer players can message mentors and receive advice and help. Many questions new players have are not in the documentation or FAQ, or the information is outdated. Mentors would be a way to easily communicate current information and promote more interaction between players. There are other ways this could be implemented and there is a lengthy forum post under Suggestions for further reading. Vote YES if you would like a mentor function added. Vote NO if you feel this is a poor suggestion.

4 gamers voted for the proposal.
0 gamers voted against the proposal.

The proposal has been ACCEPTED.

W3Creative reaction:

We would like to make such a facility available and help new players in getting the information they need."

I think it would be more helpful if folks would participate in the SC chat more often, like the old days.

I see two responses from you Border C.

I must say it seems very silly to change terms / concepts that have been used here and in society for centuries, well before slavery was a race based system.

At the same time its a harmless and likely easy change and if it makes players more comfortable it makes sense to do. It also does not limit individual players communication or play style in any way.

Yeah, I'm not up in arms about it. I just think the whole thing is silly.

We have said long time ago that we will change the slave term. we did in some places and will continue. we do so when we bump into this term but did not start a thorough search.

We will add a forum section: "Mentors"
and allow players to place comments, names and what they want to offer.

Land forces will be diversified.
It will start in the next upgrade.

Votes are not very decisive these days.
There are always 2,3 or 4 to 0 votes.

not very convincing.

Many recent changes are based on voting, sometimes old voting items or suggestions and discussions on the forum.
we will continue to do so.

Player engagement as a whole seems to have dipped.

Perhaps you should require X number of total votes before it counts. Perhaps every vote could auto-generate a forum message to discuss it. That could draw more attention to them and then folks could discuss it and may be more likely to vote?? Just some thoughts...

We should have the option to combine our slaves states into one country or keep it as it is
This option would really help us
Especially when it comes to managing our empire

I do not remember any empire in the real world that combined countries and wiped away nations not to exist any more.

this was always one of the reasons they demised.
It is hard to manage an empire.

we think that empires should not be easy to maintain. this way they will stay within maintainable size.

To Borderc's point, the only proposals I vote on are the ones that get mentioned in the forums because I never think to look at that tab otherwise.

We will shortly add a forum section called:

Voting Issues

When you put something to a vote, you will be welcome to also put it on the forum and explain your voting proposal, hear what others have to say and discuss.
