TEST image types

Testing various image uploads. Some image types, such as jpeg, png seem to give off errors. Simply using this to test various file types to see what will show and what will not

Jpeg works

PNG does not

I too would like to know. I've read it has something to do with adding the pic in edit, but I didn't see a link.


Perhaps my browser doesn't have the file upload patch?

You can post jpgs. After you *finalize* your post, it gives you an option to select a jpg from your hard drive to use if you've formatted correctly. I was confused the first time as well - as it feels very late in the process to add a picture compared to most systems I use.

PNG does not work. I'll post one below just to double check:

Edit: Couldn't post it actually. Gave me a direct error,

"Provide file for png:
The file you attempted to upload had a disallowed file format. The file format image/png is not valid for image uploading."

here is the original image, in its Jpg format which does work

We will look into it.
It was obviously excluded. I do not remember why. need to find out.
