Corporation inquiry

please I want to know.. What happens when a corporation closes down maybe due to lack of workers or depletion of Natural mineral in the case of a natural Corp. Does the market Value of the corp gets transferred to the Country or Enterprise?

I believe the assets are divided up to the owners and the market cap is a loss.
