Population

Can someone please help me figure out how I am loosing my population. Seems like no matter what I do they keep leaving. Been playing since 2012 and this is the worst it has gotten.

Free member countries can have a population number between 20 and 25 millions.
If higher, it will decline.

In general, the population in a country will decline if the economic situation is very bad (migration),
if the health care is very very low, (people will die.

Otherwise, in all free member countries, the population will increase very slowly up to 20 to 25 millions.

In full member countries, growth will be much faster, up to a level of about 100 Million.

exception:
In some new countries, the population might be tilted to older groups with smaller numbers in the young groups.
In such a case, older people may die faster than newborns take their place.

Im down to 11.8 million people from a little over 20 million population. Economy is okay and health care is okay as well. Welfare is at 119.0 and rising, employment is at 90.51, finance is at 140.7. I must be missing something. All my numbers continue to rise while population continues to decline.

Your population is migrating because of the poor condition of your industry.

You have far too many corporations, many with 5% employment.
Most of them make losses.
You should close many of them.

Your education priorities, availability of professionals should be taken care of.
All show shortages (must close corporations)
and some have zero availability.

with a smaller number of corporations, (<30) you may be able to improve the remaining corporations.
the migration index could increase and stop people from leaving the country.

All this will take time because many age groups are depleted due to migration going on for a long time.
You will be better off if you close even many more corporations and start a small number of natural resources corporations.
In all cases, your corporations should have 100% employment and 100% production.

Would a population transfer help?

Increase of population, any way you do it, will help.
Large transfers require gold coins.

every additional million in population will help but you then need to build more schools for them, more hospitals etc.

Maybe a combination of closing corporations that are losing a lot of money, more population and raw materials corporations.
