I see that it is recommended to buy some rocket launchers and missiles at Q120.

WHY?

I know that forts and bases can be Q120.

I'm guessing that supply trucks and ships only need to Q120. True?

I've read that upgrades can be Q120. Do we still need upgrades?

Can someone list any other weapons and ammo that need only be Q120?

What are you using them for? Does the unit in question need to be efficient at what it does?

Things like SF units, Jeeps, Long range radar and Military transport I buy at the lowest quality because it really does not matter for these units as I do not directly fight with them.

Anything you shoot with (unless you intend on them being fodder) you will want higher quality if you want decent results. Defenses (interceptors, helis, nuke defense, etc.), the ammo associated with it, just about anything you would fight with you will want higher quality otherwise you will get horrible trades.

logic is that for weapons that are used from bases quality bonus does not apply. so if you use conventional batts at q 330 or 120 they do the same damage, the same with ammo. cost of buying at 120 is much lower as you know.

the war engine always takes the quality of all participating weapons into account.

If you have any evidence to the contrary, please let me know.

Andy you should test quality when attacking from base and compare with the same amount of weapons attacking when made into unit. difference is clear.

that is why you attacked me with your 800Q conventional batts in our little war, but system counted that as 120q only and you lost them all.

i thought it was intended, but it seems you was not aware.

Thanks for the replies.

I remember reading that some weapons and ammo didn't need to be Q330 but couldn't recall the details.

i have plenty too but just hate the fact that i could not shoot my oaambs or srmb from the base without adding them to silly units for a single attack:)
