Worker numbers slightly tweaked

The numbers of high level workers in some corporations have been reduced by a small margin.
The number of Low level managers is increased a bit.

The changes took place in only several types of corporations and the effect depends on how many such corporations reside in your country.

You may see small changes in total employment in these two groups of workers.

More such changes may take place in the following game upgrades.

Movements of workers between professions

There are always movements of workers between the various groups of workers and professionals.

These changes depend on the situation in each country but remain limited.
We have discovered that some of these changes are causing a reduction in medium and high level workers.
The size of the reductions depends on numbers in each group.

we have now made small changes to these automatic workers migrations and hope to reduce shortages of medium and high level workers.

The changes are not large. We will look into the effects of the changes and may continue to make corrections until this problem recedes.

Thank you for adding the "Important Things To Do" page. That comes in handy Andy. Appreciated.

I think the "min number of corporations" on the new important things to do tab could be dangerous. Looking through my empires none of my countries have near your targets but constantly struggle to keep everything fully staffed.

This could lead new players with less than complete understanding of the game mechanics bankrupting themselves chasing the target number of corps and not paying attention to what they can actually support.

I see the same problem with all my countries. Target seems impossible to obtain without cutting factories production level. Which I do not believe is a good option. Good point Jiggle Billy.

Agreed with Jiggle and Rob - the target number of corporations suggested by the game seems to be significantly higher than it should be.

Some examples from my countries:

"Charn" on WG. 95.11% employment, ~103 mil pop. I have 134 corporations and the game recommends that I have 207.

"Logistica A" on WG. 91.29% employment, ~72 mil pop. I have 75 corporations and the game recommends that I have 144.

"Cegorach" on FB. 88.96% employment. ~80 mil pop. I have 80 corporations and the game recommends 160.

It appears the game could be calculating its recommendation based off old corporation staffing requirements (where it believes each corporation requires less workers to work at 100%). I know the number of staff each corporation needs to operate has been increasing over the last few years.

I agree with the statement on corporations.

Most my countries are 160-180 corporations and they are 100m population.

Even my BEST country is 250 corps with a 110m population and its massively CEO/CEO IPO corporations. I think the GM should bring the numbers to something lower as to not confuse newer players. I feel like one corporation per 1m pop is a fair estimate.

That way it's a true "minimum" and if new players want to go higher they can.

I will look into it.

The page is not new.
we just moved it from the "general" menu option.

I did not look into the details and will now.
if wrong, it will be corrected in the next update next week.

Thanks fro being alert and letting us know.

by the way:

the General option in the menu had only one function.
It is now obsolete.
We will remove the general option from the menu in the next game update.

we are restructuring the menu, more changes will follow.

More tweaking took place on the high level workers front.

It has already improved the situation in many countries but more is needed.

we cannot do it very quickly but rather in steps to prevent employment problems in countries.

We advise you to make sure you have many available low level managers as their employment numbers will gradually increase.

Thank you for moving slowly, It took several game months to fix the worker problems from the last tweak in certain countries as I was over concentrated on corps you modified. I do understand that improvements require some short term pain.

Im not sure if its related but last days I have many corps in my country (privately held ceo mostly) saying I have a lack of workers although when I go to the change profession page on every profession the unemployed numbers exceeds the needed for 100% production numbers without actually changing professions.. I have this now with Bananas WG on WG.

Also my employed workers are getting unemployed and my unemployed workers keep rising for no good reason. Like they refuse to go to work.. Not much I can do about it and my country will go bust within a week on this pace...

Turns out i had a shortage of High Tech Executives which was not displayed on that overview.
I had to look at education priorities overview were it was displayed.
Thanks to Anihana for pointing this out for me on Discord. Sorry for any confusing.

Andy, I am noticing with these changes when it happens my total labor force goes from about full staffing of corps, to inadequate total labor force numbers. I get an increase in demand for every type of worker and professional. Suddenly I am 200,000 High Tech Engineers short, etc... I would have expected just a shortage of Low Level Managers and unemployment based on that while I re-balanced my education priorities. The Second Kingdom of Hodg and Fourth Kingdom of Hodg are showing this at extreme levels.

A 'toggle selection' button for the 'Share Portfolio for enterprise' table on the 'Your Share Portfolio' page would also be most welcome

Even better: being able to divide your share portfolio into subportfolios which can be managed as subgroups.

we have now installed several changes in employment.

all the changes are limited to high level workers and low level managers.

There are shifts in numbers with a decline in the need for high level workers and an increase in the need for low level managers.

all other groups remained untouched.
we did not make any changes at all.
