Is this official or player made???

My experience with player made Discord channels is that they often attempt to use it for personal gain or become despots on their server treating the rest of the community like crap lol

That's a former fed discord that has roughly 30 players who frequent it. Try it before judging lol. It's the only remotely active discord chat in simcountry right now, and I can confirm that former enemies have come together and chat about the game there.

Hey Stu its nothing like that. As EO said its an active chat. As I said above its way for everyone to communicate more effectively.

Discord simply makes it easier to communicate with players. Especially newer players that do not have a friend group yet, or have a place to quickly get answers.

I do understand, it is hard to avoid Joels seductive charm, but you just run that risk if you frequent the forums anyway.

@Ethelred Its easier because you get to directly speak to other players in the form of instant messaging.

You can send messages directly to other players in the game. Whether it's instant or not depends on whether that player is online at the time and feels like chatting not on which medium you use to contact them.

Many games use discord to chat.
we do have a chat feature but it is not the jewel in the box.

The forum is used a lot and has advantages as it is integrated into Simcountry and it is a forum and messages remain well organized and can be read at any time.

As discord is more functional than our chat, we should consider using it from within Simcountry.
Many people keep a discord window open and are more available for communication with others.

JOEL and Matt have done good to start this and run it.

I started a server to try and meet different ppl there is also a language translator to break the barrier between members with a simple emoji to translate

Its fine death its very simplistic and functional for an official discord, but it does lack activity, but its fine for an official discord. What you created is in my opinion well beyond to what even I would do and you did it very well. I really like this fun alternative but its definitely not a replacement for there's unless stated otherwise. You created this one for activity in mind with things to do that can be rewarding and you can even trade crypto if you want with other people if you mine crypto like a lot of people do. Don't be ashamed of making a Fun Alternative because what they have for a Official Discord is 100% functional and works for what the game needs at this time. But on a personal note I would at least have both discords, at least for now. Besides I learned a lot more about discord from you that I will know about later when need be and that information is valuable.
