Most countries have less than 300 corporations and are able to employ all workers in the country and make a very good profit.

There are several countries that now have a population of around 600.000.000 and nearly 1000 corporations.

A corporation page with 1000 corporations is slow, complex and hardly manageable.
To resolve the situation, we have announced here that corporations will start growing a bit, employ more workers and increase their profitability.

we have now implemented three rounds of size increases and we think that countries with nearly 1000 corporations, are probably employing several millions workers more than before these updates.

we do not think that these countries have many unemployed workers because of 1000 corporations limit.

We intend to continue growing corporations at a slow pace and believe that the numbers of corporations world wide will decline over time.

Hi Andy,

my country Corporate Sector Alpha on fb has 618m population and 995 corporations, currently there are 36M of people who are not hired. if there are no restrictions I could build some 150-200 corporations more.

most of the corporations I have built are military weapons and they require less employees than other types of corporations. many military weapons are in great shortages so maybe you can increase size, profitability and production of these corporations as well.

many weapons maintenance corporations are not producing well because of high shortages of almost all weapons.

increasing only production and size of weapons maintenance corporations can do little if there are huge shortages of suplies

I have 700m+ pop and WG is growing at 3.3% and FB main at 7% growth rate pace per real month, so for me this is not a permanent solution.

If its hard te recode maybe Mndz and I are just out of luck and pop growth should be stopped at XXX m. Like a hard cap. That would suck for us, but we are experienced enough to endure it imo.

Many players complain about the employment effects and it requires much micromanagement for them, while this 1k limit did not affect them at all due smaller pop sizes. It also makes the game unpredictable for them. I believe this trade-off that has been made was a very bad one. Also you could have discussed this with us, giving and receiving feedback like this back and forth, like you did in this thread https://www.simcountry.com/discus/messages/1/29089.html , instead of just pushing it through directly. Maybe better solutions would have come out of it.

Also, on FB, my award score (score including penalties) was growing at a faster rate then the top 3 (gap was closing), so my conclusion was I would be eligible for awards this month (my best guess), I even pushed health index to 200+ for it , but after the also sudden change in computing the scores in recent updates, my gap with top 3 is now widening, which gives me a bit of not so pleasant aftertaste. While I do understand that new insights requires adjustments, I would like to ask you to be more reserved in pushing through changes in order to make the game more predictable (for everyone).

hardcoded limits make no sense, everything should be determined by gaming conditions and balance. now i have all the employees but cannot build because game thinks 1000 is enough, isnt that funny?

limits are not hard to change, w3c have a table with all limits in the game and monitor them for game stability reasons. if they want change is done in minutes.

some corporations are really super small, so making them bigger is good option, that is what i am saying:)

I know the 1000 limit is currently a problem.
As of now, it is a 10 million problem smaller than before.

We have chosen this limit from the start, realizing that managing 1000 corporations will be cumbersome and it is.

We should have probably limited the population to 500 millions or increased the size of corporations earlier.

but better late than not.

The corporation numbers are made of the country number of 4 digits and corporation number of 3 digits.

It is in hundreds of lines of code and in the entire database and does not make sense to change. Especially when we continue to see a page with 1000 corporations as a major problem.

We also see the 600 millions limit as a very hard limit and we think that countries will end up under 600 millions.

We hope that corporations will end up at an average of 500.000 which means about 1.1 to 1.3 corporations per million population and it will result in max 800 corporations in a country.

Profits of corporations increase very high with the growth in size.
It compensates for initial trouble on the job market and as profits will keep increasing, we will end up with fewer corporations producing much more profit than they currently do.

Several types of corporations producing products that are in a steep shortage, are already produce more. Shortages in such products are already smaller than before.

changes will decrease in size as we proceed and create fewer problems that will be resolved quicker.

I'm averaging 100M to 150M population with 100 to 150 corporations in my countries and this constant extreme swings in worker levels is becoming pretty frustrating. I have to say I'm over it.

I hope we can get things stabilized soon.

We will keep the increase in size of corporations but at a slower pace.

It is not indexing.
It is the structure of our databases, combined with our conviction that a corporation page with 1000 corporations is not workable.
As more players tend to increase the population of their countries, we should make sure it is all manageable.

besides, the proposal to merge multiple corporations would create even much larger corporations.

We think that this episode will be forgotten, once we stabilize with bigger corporations.

In the mean time, check the raw materials corporations.
they grow and become much more profitable.

I agree to that, Andy.

Merging could be a new feature as majority of people tend to like some types of corporations over the other. merging would lead to more development options instead just building a bunch of corporations of the same type.

e.g. 1x lvl2 would require 4x lvl1 and some cash, giving boost in production, hiring and cost, worth more than initial 4 corporations added together.
lvl3 = 3 lvl2, lvl4 = 2 lvl3, lvl5 = 2 lvl4

last levels would cost gold coins and corporations could not be destroyed. so countries in wars would not risk losing economy.
ceo could also make bigger impact of moving high lvl corporations to countries and boosting some economies.

Too large in my opinion.

many many unemployed if one is closed and a major problem if there is a surplus.

There are already possibilities to increase production.
these could be extended a bit.
