Is it true that once you buy a membership, you can never roll back to a free account? I read sometime ago in a forum you have to keep paying to access your account. It's been the only thing holding me back from buying one and I've been playing since 2012.

Full membership will have to be prolonged if you keep playing.
if you want a free account, do not purchase full membership.
