I've played before, so returning player here.

When I put my corporate goods up for sale it says "None" under "Unsold Products", but if you check the production there is "Product in Stock but not Offered on the Market."

Why isn't it listing the products, so I can ascertain the optimal price to charge? Also, what's the deal with "Robotics," it's causing me massive shortages and is really underproduced.

Thanks for help with either of the two parts of this.

It's hard to answer exactly what the issue is with your product not being automatically entered on the market, as many factors can come into play. Could be contracts, could be fractional products, new corp, or just a lag effect if you're checking on the days of the month that world trades go through.

As for Robotics, they're tied in directly with your corp's Effectivity. You'll experience a shortage of them more frequently than other goods while upgrading because your corp will order to hold onto x month supply based on what you set, but as effectivity is raised it increases the amount of robotics used, so your 24 month supply while upgrading may only actually end up lasting 20 months because more are being consumed. Having said that, Effectivity is virtually always worth it. There is the increased cost with Robotics, sure. It also increases the number of managers/engineers that the corp employs, but more substantially reduces the number of workers needed - to the point that even when your increased costs from Robotics are taken into account you will save money and just as importantly you'll have those extra workers freed up to opening up another corp and generate even more revenue.

Thank you for the response Dan.

We're in luck, whatever it was it sorted itself out about a day after this post - so pretty rapidly.

What you said about Robotics makes sense.

Well, no darn it. The same and new bugs returned. Now it won't list my product for sale and it says I have shortages when I do not. So more bugs,

Andy help please!

Could you share your country name and world? Corp name too if it's a specific one as well. I'm not a mod or dev by any means but may be able to check the logs on your corp's page and see if I can help pinpoint the problem. No promises but will certainly try.

Thanks Dan, my country is UNSF on Golden Rainbow.

My production has now dropped to 0% across the board, I go into "Orders" and there is nothing listed. But everything lists a Supply "Shortage."

I had to manually sell all the products (release held back goods) which led to a spike but now everything is stalled out.

At first glance it looks like almost all of your corps are completely out of at least one of their production input supplies, and missing even one will prevent production. Factory Maintenance seems to be one of the most notable culprits from looking through them. Out of curiosity, how do you have your order supply automation setup? My Corporations -> Supplies. Some products are in such shortage that it's advisable to have both your low-water mark and order quantity set rather high, because especially if relying on the world market you could go a lot of months without the supply orders being filled. Increasing those marks to get the corps ordering themselves more supplies at a time would be the second thing I would do to address the problem.

The first thing I would do is use some of your country's buying power to make some immediate purchase orders for the supplies that your corps are lacking. Just click on Shortage for any of them and look at the list to see what item you need that's out of stock. Paying the surcharge for immediate orders sucks, but its better than letting that many corps sit idle for the unknown future. After you buy them you can sell them directly to your corps without delay. Start at the Trade menu to -> 'country trading with your own corporations' and from there you can sell your country's supply to the corps to get them working again right away

Thanks Dan, you are correct. For some reason I have 180 and 9 months/12 months yet I have a chronic lack of supplies. I even routinely hit "change orders to immediate" and it still doesn't seem to affect it. I'll buy the goods and then sell them, but for 40 corporations that's a lot. It just seems like there are some bugs effecting my corporations. It routinely will say "None" in the for sale items, when they're actually being held back from the market. I haven't touched contracts or contracting so it can't be that.

I hate to quit the game over this, but if it continues with me doing drastic measures just to have normal operations I don't know if I will be able to stay.

Thank you for looking through and getting me set up better.

If you have products available in the corporation and you get a shortage message, please let me know.

as always, we can only look into it if you give us the name of the world, the country and the corporation.
