Sheroni(Imperial Yakumo of the WGA)seeks to hold an international economic forum sometime this week to address the sluggish economic climate in our regions. If possible I would prefer to hold these discussions in discord as it remains a viable, efficient and convenient platform to engage with other heads of state and CEOS.

I think these discussions should last the better part of two weeks at a range of given times, allowing those who have common time zones to meet, and those of opposite but willing to enjoy representing their interests.

Discussing regarding supply efficacy, cost and quality are some of the top talking points I would like to bring forward.

You may be asking why not host them here. Truth be told, the forum is inconvenient and there's very little way of notifications of replies, much less the time to actually get on, type what you want to say and dealing with everyday life. I would encourage and prefer use of the discord over the forums as it just serves as far more convenient platform and allows realtime discussion, not to mention more realistic roleplay.

While more sorts of events like this are of course a good thing to engage the playerbase more than just checking their numbers each day, I have some reservations about your proposal.

First, you've had a presence both on the forums and discord in recent history that have been heavy in outburst. It isn't to say you aren't capable of trying to have a civil conversation with other players, but it makes me hesitant to get involved with what you're hoping to talk about because of how you've presented yourself on the forum an discord as of late.

Second, I'm not sure what exactly you're trying to discuss in this economic forum. You say supply efficacy, cost, and quality are your top talking points. What about them? If you want an informed conversation with multiple participants that I presume you hope has some sort of meaningful outcome, it would help to be more descriptive in what you're hoping to actually discuss in your topics of discussion.

Wish for the best, discord is always open, but still unsure what the actual discussion you're hoping to have is so can't prepare for it.

Unsthable, if you were to participate in an economic discussion in discord, what topics would you like to discuss or what types of things would you advise less-experienced players on?

I would imagine a meeting of this sort wouldn't be limited to one player's agenda, and there could be room for discussion between multiple players about a variety of topics.

I do not mean to dismiss any reservations you may have, but rather wish to encourage more of us to meet.

If it's a simple looking for help or advice that's all fine and well, there are plenty of people myself included that would be glad to share insight. It just feels like its being presented as a method to complain about game mechanics, which by itself won't better the situation. I'm hoping I'm wrong. If it's just a Q&A on strategies then absolutely great.

If it's to complain or try to fix the current economic issues and supply shortages, really that's out of the hands of the existing player base. Just taking a quick example from WG, I checked out Chemicals, something perpetually in shortage. For current supply to meet current demand would take ~ 4925 more corps producing Chemicals. That's 1.83 billion workers (pre-effectivity of course) just to bring one product back into relatively even supply, without considering the materials that it would consume. Since most players play countries and are limited by populations, there's not a lot that current players can do to really move the needle on a lot of these products in shortage.

Unsthable bro its just role play

Our ability to actually do anything that affectively change how we trade, etc. is restricted by game mechanics.
The economic forum from my perspective is just for everyone on WG to come together and discuss whatever topics they bring, with the world.

Its actually good for player interaction as most of us know is the biggest issue this game faces.
In all i do encourage you to prepare a statement on a topic and join us whenever the date is.

Provided there are no scheduling conflicts I'd like to attend these meetings. As I'm not a regular on Discord if someone could post here when the meetings will take place I'll try to clear my calendar.

Peace be upon you until it's not
