High Level Worker Shortages

Hi Andy - I believe there was an update to attempt to rectify an issue with severe shortages of high level workers. I am experiencing a similar issue in multiple countries on KB. Can you please take a look to see if there is a way to prevent shortages of HLWs? Also, is there a way to limit the amount of unemployed teachers? I routinely have 400K+ of unemployed teachers that need to be adjusted down to HLWs. Thank you for your time and effort.

What is your country name? Do you set your education priorities? Unemployed teachers should be fairly simple to self manage with proper education priorities.

I do agree the HLW shortages persist, but less than in the past.

My country is Shadow Coast on KB. I typically set the lowest education priority to 5; I believe that the game documentation states somewhere that any index lower than 5 will result in shortages in others areas of the game. I don’t know if that is still applicable today since there have been so many updates to the game.

Sounds like you've got a way to solve both issues already?

But you can set education priorities, and reduce how many teachers you are training, to reduce how many are sitting unemployed. In which case: you'll need to find some other way to buff up your HLW levels.

I have not yet seen an issue from setting something below 5.
I'm only 8 months into the game on this account, but I've shifted my priorities to hyper focus on high tech engineers (99 setting) and I've still god some teachers coming in with a 0 setting, which might be enough to cover losses to death and retirement.

Sorry I missed this, yeah some game documentation is outdated, I typically keep teacher priority at 4 and still get surpluses overtime. Every couple weeks i demote the surplus to HLW
