You can only use 20 shuttles per product type to move something. Somewhere in the documents I would have sworn I saw a limit to how many total shuttles can be going at once. That would tell me how many different products I could move without causing issues. I've looked but can't find it, does anyone know what that number happens to be?

There is so much whining about the space program in the forum, if that information is available there, I can't find it.

Wind turbines are the worst. From experimentation it is solely based on the size of the materials being moved. A 2o limit would explain the different length of time to move materials.

Ideally the limit would be however many shuttles were required to move the load in a single trip.

You can start 20 transports and use up to 20 cargo shuttles per transport to a maximum of 400 cargo shuttles.

Also please read the game news today.
Cargo shuttles can now, in many cases transport more products.

we hope that the time needed for transports will decline.
we will extend these functions to more products and reduce the total time needed for a transport.

Thanks Andy, That is the information I was looking for.

What happens to manually started transport in relation to the automatic limits?

The automatic transports count as individual transports.
If you start 10 automatically, you can then only start 10 manually.

We think this is sufficient.

we have some problems when there are very large numbers flying at the same time.
we can optimize but it requires some development.

In the mean time, to resolve this structurally, we will allow cargo shuttles to carry more products. We already set that in motion in the last upgrade but more is underway.

We advise you not to have thousands on cargo shuttles.

maintenance is costly (they age and become obsolete), and as we optimize the transports, smaller numbers will be needed.

That is probably sufficient, I think the biggest issue is understanding exactly how they work.

I have one more clarification question:

The game docs say 20 shuttles per product, and you are telling us 400 total or twenty products.

If I want to move just one product but do it from 20 different space centers is that the same thing?

Yeah but I have no way to dump the extra shuttles

It is 20 per cargo shuttles per transport. You can start multiple transports for the same product.

I am not sure any more about where the limitation is.
I think it is per space center, not per country.

I never thought about 20 space centers in one country.

Building multiple space centers was not done because you could manage with one.

But now, with the possibility to easily start many transports with a single command, it makes sense to have a space center per destination.

You just move everything you want to transport to a specific target into one space center and start all the transports at once.

will look into it today and give you an answer ASAP.

It seems to be 20 cargo shuttles per product. Starting the transport of the same product from multiple space centers, it looks like one has maybe 18 working on it, another has 2 and the rest just sit there flagged asking if I have enough shuttles.

It's not so much having multiple space centers in a country as in an enterprise. Multiple space centers in a country are nothing but extra targets to defend once you have more than one.

From an enterprise though, if you had (Like I do for my tests) say 5 space centers, it would be nice to have the ability to send the same product to five different locations at the same time.

After our conversation earlier today, I start 5 transports from one country in TA to all 5 worlds carrying Baradium and another 5 transports from a different country on TA, to the other 5 worlds, carrying Metadium.

They all started.
the 5 with baradium already finished.
the 5 with Metadium are not done yet but close. (larger quantities).

All 10 transports show on the same place on the space screens.

The 20 transports are per player.
20 transports total.
You can, as I said here, start them all with a single product to the same or different destinations.

I remember trying to move wind turbines more quickly long ago, so I started many transports and was stuck for a long time as they took for ever and I could not start more transports.

at the end I killed some of them.

Then of course, I figured out that you do not need to produce electric power on TA as it is one of the products you

Come to think of where products are going, maybe we need a function that will show you on request, where products are.

you choose for example for Metadium and it will show you all countries that have it, their stock in the country, enterprises, space centers and unused natural resources in the ground.

Good info if you want to talk to other players on how to obtain the product or plan for a war.

Maybe a trigger for some politics/strategic thinking.

"Then of course, I figured out that you do not need to produce electric power on TA as it is one of the products you can transfer in the direct market and the transport takes place instantly."

It might make TA more attractive to me if the products you have to ship in are all added to that list. It would cut down on the shuttle movements required and you've still got to obtain it from someplace and get it there.

It will trivialize TA.
Sending vegetables by wire can indeed make it easier.

We have this strange idea that Simcountry should have some challenges.

But there are probably ways to keep some and add some challenges that could improve the game, make it easy to play for players who want to keep it very simple and have options for those who want more.

I have enough challenges between my enterprises and empires on 3 worlds. I was on 4 and had to drop one simply did not have the time to deal with it. I'm probably going to drop another for the same reason. And will probably downsize further.

As long as I have someone on TA willing to sell me product there is no incentive for me personally to go there from everything, I've heard about it from the major players already there.

Even if I lost all my supply and my empires started suffering, I'm not sure if my desire to remain in the game would overcome the perceived effort and difficulty. It might just be easier to quit and invest my time in something else.

We all like challenges, we play games for entertainment and to exercise our minds. When a game becomes boring or more effort than the entertainment value received, we usually move on to something else.

It is your business and game model and I'm just one pla

I understand what you say.
we have intensified our playing in recent months to better understand where to improve procedures.

Please check the automation text on the forum.
It was created a long time ago but at the time, we did not have the capacity to create it.

it is intended to make life easier.
