Maestro2000, no offense meant, but that guide is worthless now.
I know all of you live by it. but it's also about as useful in helping new players learn war as giving them a Baked Chicken and putting them in the middle of a group of people who haven't eaten in weeks.

Not only will the chicken be gone, so will the player. We want to keep them around.

No offense at all meant Maestro but I know you have little experience with war, especially the new War Engine. You do however have great econ countries new players can learn from, and being new, we need to steer them to making money first, and then war...

And once again No degrading or anything meant by that, I just would like to see SC become highly active again and I'm sure you all would agree.

*prays for Tattooed's Family*...May the War engine of his time, and the memorable wars, friends, and times carry his C3 Guide to the archives..He will never be forgotten.

So... what is the updated version of taking a C3?

I just came back To SC and wasted a lot of time and resources trying to take a c3 the old fashion way and failed...

Any advise will be appreciated

See what I mean. The new way of taking c3s has been sitting in the help section on the general section on the war section for an insane amount of time. This is redundant.

Vic try a keyword search you'll find a multitude of posts on the subject.

I looked at the "how do you conquer a C3 thread", and I came up with my own theory. Please point out weaknesses.

For bordering C3s,
1. I would do the typical 1000 Drones/1000 FP to take out the fighter wings.
2. Invade the border with LRD and 4 Occ Units of 125 jeeps each, to paint.
3. Heres where it deviates: Compose the LRD entirely of Heavy Jeeps. My logic is that the precision bomber will take out ground defenses, leaving the target undefended, and then my HJs will clean up without losses or ammo usage.
4. Win.

For airdrop C3s
1. Airdrop 4 SF's to paint if far, and deploy consturction unit and eventually drop the LRD.
2. Take out the air defenses with the 1000Drone/1000FP.
3. Repeat step three in local C3's.
4. Win

For Navy against C3s
I need a bit of help in this section. To assemble a navy with NFP, I would need an AC. I think the limit is 20k weapons? So I would also get a few supply ships, (anyone know the right amount per weapons?) buy NFP for air defense, and CMS to take out buildings.

General Questions on units and war:
1. Cruise Missile Ship or Guided Missile Frigate against Citys/Base/Fort?
2. Heavy Artillery or Heavy Tanks against Citys/Base/Fort? (If I needed them)
3. Precision Bombers or Midrang MB against target defenses?
4. When I do conquer a C3, how do I take its' cash/materials only? (I dont want the country)

some of your answers

if you are invading a border c3, the occupational units are great, i usually use sf for the same reason. one thing you didn't mention, when clearing the air d, you'll need to have a ground unit with in 35km of the target.

as far as the hj for destroying targets go. i like your thinking. but how many attacks will that take? in interest of time, you'd be better off usuing ha/ht, they are rather cheap. and to expand on your statement "the precision bomber will take out ground defenses," that is true, but bombers will not clear the lt/la/j/av. use drones or mrmb

as for clearing gars, i've found the cheapest way is a bomber/drone unit, and then switching to a ground unit with ha/ht to finish it off. the fastest way, is to use mrmb and ha/ht in the same unit, use the mrmb to clear the gar, and with out switching units, you can switch weapons to the ht/ha (switching off the mrmb,)

for air dropping. your way is fine, but theirs a trick to making that work. probably the better way, would be to drop your sf, (i usually use 3,) then you go about things normally, clearing air d, and painting, of course. the difference, you clear gars with *only* bombers, and then use cruise to destroy targets. although, bombers are more efficient destroying factories, use the cruise on cities and forts.

i rarely use navies against c3s, and i haven't sence they made some changes. i'm not upto date on navies, sorry

general questions
cruise missles, land or sea, are probably more effective than guide missles, except for clear helis.

ha/ht over all are the cheapest way to destroy a target, after gars are clear. yes you can go cheaper with hj, and hav, but do you really wanna click 10+ times to destroy each target? depending on the quality of your units, it can take as few as 1200 total of the 2 ht/ha (600 of each for example,)

bombers versus mrmb... well, their are several things to consider. bombs are easier to buy, in a day to day thing. but bombs aren't very good at destroying forts. so when you get to the forts, you can burn through the bombs, or switch weapons. switching weapons (units,) takes time. so using mrmb to clear forts, and bombers for the rest... thats my answer.

as far as looting the c3, you can transfer much of it out via the transfer options under the empire menu. you can set all the gars to "undefended," and get that stuff 2. you can make worker exchanges for the workers you need. however, the non-military stock... only way is to make direct sales to your other countries, and transfer the money back. that last part i find just isn't worth the time.

Eventually 100 forts. But they use people and if you are just starting out, build up some defense in the ones you have, and increase gradually.

About supply ships: rumor has it that 1 supply ship for each carrier or fleet command, and 1 for each five supporting ships.

There should be no rumors about supply ships. This is a very important question. The answers should be available in the documentation. Like the explanation about radar planes.

Explain at minimum, how many supply ships are needed to supply x amount of ships per fleet. As well as the benefit/of having more or less than the minimum.

Also would like to know what is the benefit of having more than the explained 3 minimum of defensive radar planes. On the effectiveness of radar coverage or effectiveness of air defense. Little or none at all? I also would like to see the most practical questions answered in a clearly discernible manner in the docs. They have been improved upon, but many things are incomplete even still. Updates to the docs must be well thought out so as not to miss any important, but seemingly minor details.

good points wendy. their is so much about the game that you can't find written down anywhere. i mean you can get the basics...

If don't write it down, you will eventually forget. Luckily, that opens memory to learn new facts like... Did you know that three out of every two americans gain 1kg every day?

Honestly, I don't remember how many supply ships should needed or what for. I don't even recall what they do, and somehow I doubt it is related with efficiency. My bet? They do nothing.

Pretty sure they do LG, in my experience. Kind of like supply units, enough to get prompt-ish supply.
Actual numbers...no idea. Noproblems numbers seem to be about right, at least they were some months back.

if you are not a full member and you have reached your 2 country limit and you have no war protection can you still get attacked by a country and if you win could you claim that country.

Except for cost, ?Does it make a difference if you buy 250 quality weapon and ammunition upgrades or 100 quality for upgrading garrisons?

I could not find anything in the information about this. I have read ALOT.

you have to do the math for costs. apart from cost there is no difference as high quality weapons/ammo get Q reduced when transported to garrisons. Why? who knows.

If you mean do 250Q ammo and weapon upgrades have an advantage over 100Q... No, they dont. Buy 100Q.

I simply can not figure out how to move my military units around outside of the war page. And even at war I am having problems simply moving my air units to a new base if they are not attacking anything. How can I reassign air units to an offensive air base??
