It seems a lot of my corporations are ordering >100% needed goods. Why are they over ordering products, and how do I stop it? And is it bad for my economy to be doing that?
I figure if I cancel the orders and modify the contracts would work.

How do you mean? Corps will order several months worth of supplies, some things at maybe 30 months worth. You can order up to 60 months worth if you like (if say a particular supply is really cheap).

If I've understood you right, this is quite normal.

if that's the common market contracts, i don't think you can't due much to stop it from happening.

The game did some shrinkage changes in production amounts. You have to redue your contracts.
